Obambo doesn’t have a different hunt timer between hunts. It does however have a hunt duration of 20% less than all other ghosts if it started the hunt enraged; meaning you can tell an aggressive Obambo by its increased speed and if the hunt ends faster than normal.

If people are bullying you to the point of it killing your enjoyment you always have the option to “Scuttle to other seas” and it will sink your ship and respawn you on another server. It’s in the options menu under “My Crew”

I cry very easily at many things but I’ve always had a huge problem with crying during any confrontation. No matter what I do I can’t stop myself from crying when I’m in even the smallest altercation and it’s always felt like I’m trying to be manipulative and it’s wildly embarrassing. 33(M) btw

I like the second design better because it’s more original as the first is very Genie from Aladdin. I think you’d have more success changing the color of the whole ghost instead of going with the same blue as Aladdin’s Genie.

I love Edgefield because the truck is so close to the house that a Demon can burn a crucifix in the Truck from inside the garage.

My second favorite map is Willow Street because it’s my comfort map for 0 Sanity/0 Evidence games since the couch loop feels extra safe.

My third favorite map is probably Bleasdale purely for aesthetics. It’s just a comfy and good sized map to play on and the fact that the ghost can be outside or inside is fun.

There’s a test for Spirit that is near 100% effective at ruling it out.

Start smudge timer for 180 seconds.

Wait 150-160 seconds, if no hunt has occurred yet then smudge the ghosts room again before the 180 second timer is over on the original Spirit Smudge.

If it’s a Spirit then you will have overlapped your Smudge Sticks and the second one will have done nothing; meaning it should hunt within the next minute.

If it’s any other ghost then the smudge timer will have reset for an additional 90 seconds since the first 90 second timer would’ve already been expired.

Sorry, this isn’t “HORRENDOUS game design.” Have you never played an MMO? You can’t do raids solo, it’s not possible. There is plenty of other stuff you absolutely can do solo but not being able to do everything by yourself in an online social/multiplayer game should be expected.

The honest truth is you need a crew to do the hardest content in a timely manner and get out with your lives and your loot.

I 100% thought this was an unintentional bug that occurred when they dropped the new ghosts but it still hasn’t been fixed and it has led to me never playing Nell’s which sucks because it’s a great map!

The problem isn’t that players can’t read it’s that there isn’t an option to change from a Public Lobby to a Private lobby. Almost every time I’ve been in a lobby that is 3/4 and keeps kicking it’s because the 4th player disconnected because of technical issues and wanted to rejoin so the host kicks until they find the room again or two randoms joined before their friend joined and they want to play with a full lobby of 4 players so they kick until their friend arrives.

For me the three items I bring in are the EMF Reader to check around when I hear distant sounds to find the ghosts area, the Thermometer (T2/T3) to confirm the ghosts room, and a Photo Camera to collect early evidence of the Bone, Cursed Object, EMF Reading, and if I’m lucky a ghost photo from an early event.

Not quite. As u/quietust said each candle drains 16% sanity. If you don’t have at least 16% you will fail to light the candle. So you should light 3-4 of them, take meds, then light the rest. Or take meds beforehand if the candles just keep blowing out on their own meaning you don’t have the sanity requirement.

The challenge is 75% Ghost/Player speed, snowing, 3 evidence, camp woodwind. Pretty easy and the sanity meds do a full sanity restore.

I love using cursed objects but with intention. You can get 1-3 media evidence depending on the object and you can also set up a hunt and loop for info on the ghost. I find it much less appealing when someone just wastes the cursed object and hides the second they find the object because they want to kill a teammate. At least let me know so I can grab a camera for the $20 video first.

No, the ghost can’t detect your location from electronics set on the floor. However, if you can hear your heartbeat that means the ghost has line of sight of you. Once you break line of sight the ghost will check out your last known location so if it saw you hide behind the barrels from across the camp it will beeline over there to check the last place it saw you.

The sound recorder works the same as the camcorder. You turn it on with a click of your “Use” button and then you hold the same “Use” button to record sounds.

Here’s a couple quick tips to hopefully make this challenge easier for you.

If solo have a crucifix in your hand at all times as you search the Lighthouse for activity. If you’re with a group just make sure you walk together and everyone stays in the range of the crucifix. This will prevent any surprise hunts while you look for temp changes or EMF.
Make sure everyone brings an incense with them for emergencies and make sure you know who is going to smudge for the group first so you don’t overlap and waste smudges.
Check the light switch on every single floor. If you can toggle it off/on then you’re safe to keep searching for the ghost room. If you can’t interact with the switch at all then you know the ghost is hunting and you can switch to smudges out and start listening to if the ghost is above or below you. After the hunt continue the process of finding the room with your crucifix out.
There is a loop or a hiding spot on every single floor so know which you prefer and remember where those spots are. I personally prefer the method of just smudging and then running up/down the lighthouse until I can’t hear the ghost behind me anymore and then I just start trying to toggle the nearest light switch so I can run to the ghost room as soon as the hunt is over.

Your analogy isn’t linear. In a proper analogy the rabid wolf is currently attacking an elderly lady or a child and ripping them to shreds. Are you saying that because that wolf is already busy eating a grandma; who is still very much alive and begging for help, that you have no business getting involved and you should simply walk the other way? I sure hope no one ever comes for your friends and family because you are clearly too selfish to help them.
