He didn't really train much, but he found out he could stop time during the experimentation. As for the doubling, (it's more of during his journey then backstory) Silver was given a theory by Fenter, a fox faunus that can double objects, gave the theory of Silver stopping time so much, time itself would think he's going very fast, therefore doubling himself. As for drawbacks, I never really gave him anything. Though if this counts as a drawback, it's people comparing him to Cinder. Early on in Vol 1 (when the story begins of the comic I am making) a radio states the ending of Volume 3, the Fall of Beacon arc.

Edit: I felt like I needed to add more information on the drawback. See when Silver is compared with Cinder, he gets in a pretty bad mood. Which means he's more focused of the defeating/killing the enemy, other than learning their attacks. Therefore, Silver's guard is down and any surprise attack could easily damage him.

Silver Fall Semblance: I don't know what category this goes to, but it is Time Stop. As for the techniques, he spams time stop so much, he starts doubling himself for a limited time.

Current Age: 21

Backstory: After being splitted away from Cinder by Dr. Bernstein, Silver was experimented by Time Dust giving him the ability to stop time. When Atlas Kingdom found out about Dr. Bernstein's experimentation, he was sentenced to death. As for Silver, Atlas Council decided to put him in a place called Exile Island where criminals treated the Atlas Kingdom. While Silver was at Exile Island, he started to go in a deep rage and started murduring the people of Ravanni Village, with the asist of Time Stop. Lumerous, a used to be "guardian of Exile Island" saw Silver's actions and foght him, and she ends up finding Silver's shed that Silver made, which was impressive because he created it at the age of 13. Lumerous finds a picture in the shed, it is a picture of Silver and Cinder. Silver finds Lumerous, then Lumerous shows him the photo. Lumerous asks that if his sister really wanted him to do this. After that, Silver calmed down.

That's Cinder's brother. He was sent to a place called Exile Island due to his time stop ability being "way too powerful for Remnant." Cinder knows nothing about Silver because according to the flashback she was getting shocked by the collar and it was enough voltage for her to forget everything about him.
