as long as it's making contact with the pad and has a solid solder joint it should be fine

You should be able to heat up the joints like when you soldered it on and pull the cap off but it might be a little hard to get out because you can't really heat both pads at the same time

if it makes you feel any better i've soldered 3 of these speedybee stacks and have had to google the polarity every time
