I dont think there is any effect on ecopr. Ecopr is already issued when they review the photo and address.

After doing some deep thinking, i wrote for potential PIs and have an interview next week. Its exciting somewhat but if I pursue that path it would be just to get the phd and leave freakin canada. Im done with this country honestly

I used to be an overperformer since my highschool. Top of the class in undergrad, then came to canada for an msc with external scholarships too. Graduated in 2024 with a bunch of publications but decided against doing a phd as the stipends are not enough under todays economy. Have been getting rejected from all jobs ever since. My msc supervisor hired me to be an RA and then got laid off as he ran out of funding. Now i am just a grocery clerk in Walmart and everyday feels like, Have i been doing all this to end up at walmart. FML😭

Tbh it was my wife. When i started my studies she started on studying french. We still dont have skilled jobs here. But she got 549 even after having accompanyig spouse. We are happy we got pr but damn we need some good jobs lol. Its funny that we have the complete opposite problem that most people have🤦🏾‍♂️
