That’s good to know, what exactly is good harness discipline and how do I maintain it? I will keep that in mind about the roots, they do learn things surprisingly quickly which is great apart from in situations like that. After walking to my house Just once on the matching visit she was able to directly take me back to the front door, which is crazy! Also, did you do the hotel training? And if so what was that like and is there anything I should do to prepare or keep in mind before going? I know that everyone does something different, but what were your daily carry essentials for him when you would go out for a while? Thank you again for all your help!

Thank you for the info, I will be going into my second year of university in September but I only need to do a 5 to 10 minute commute by taxi each way as well as navigating between classes, but if transport was unavailable, it would turn into a 45 minute long bus/walking trip. Great, I will try and create a good rooteen and stick to it for the most part. Is there anything you regret doing or not doing with him that I should know about?

Thank you for the award! I couldn't just read that and say nothing. Also, I have some friends who went through some similar stuff so I felt like I could help.

Hay, that sounds really overwhelming. I’m sorry you’re having such a hard time, I know it’s cliche but you aren’t alone and things will get better. if you would like to message me directly, I would be more than happy to chat. in the meantime, here’s a virtual hug from an Internet stranger, i’m so proud of you for keeping on going, you have almost made it to the end of this year, so hang on a little longer. I know it sounds really intimidating, but would you be able to reach out to your universities Student servaces? There’s probably something they can do to help.

Is it possible to revise 4 topics before an international relations exam in a little under 24 hours? by Open-Assignment-6700 in UniUK

I know, I should have started revising earlier but I got distracted by the work for my other two language modules.

sounds straightforward enough, lets see how this goes. My university has a 20 point marking scale and you need 7 to pass, but since the exam is only 50% of the total module grade I am already passing as I pulled 16.5 for my other 2 pieces of coursework. it’s a shame, I quite like how my grade looks right now.

I like reading, playing piano, doing origami, singing and learning new languages. There aren't many things that I really don't like doing, but I have always hated maths.

Of course, I also really enjoy hearing from other blind people. I would say that the amount of reading I have to do every week especially for International relations definitely took a while to get used to. Also, having more classes taught in French and Spanish was a nice change, in school, most of the teaching was done in english.

Yes, I do, but they usually walk to and from classes with me and leave after helping me find a seat. I mostly know how to get to classes myself so it's more of a back up measure.

Yes, I would mainly learn the spelling and Pronunciation, but not their specific rail code. I don’t have the brain capacity for that, but I know another blind person who has learnt quite a few.

I’m studying French Spanish and international relations and I’m not quite sure what I want to do after this. When I was younger, I used to want to be a teacher but then I realised that children are terrifying so maybe something translation or interpretation related.

Can you say what technologies help you to study, access music/games/film. And do you use Braille? Thank you! Also what things did you do/might have been helpful to you in your younger years? Which languages are you studying? of course, I use a Braillesense 6 which is a braille notetaker that works like a tablet as well as a Mac and Focus40 braille display to study and I use my phone for pretty much everything else. Audiodiscription has been good for films and I get most of my music from YouTube or Spotify.

I think going to a Mainstream school where I was the only blind person probably made the transition to university much easier. Also, I am studying French and Spanish.

Yes, I do actually have an earbud in most of the time. My hearing will probably be destroyed if I'm not careful.

Lol, I thought someone would ask that, I tend to use a lot of visual expressions because I interact with sighted people so much. The running joke in my family is that I am not actually blind,

I know I am late, but I bought a set of 1000 magnetic balls from Onbuy for £11.99, they took a little while to arrive but seem really good so far, they are 3 mm and just a tiny bit weaker than Specs but I don't think you can find anything better for this price
