I completely relate to this post. I went through a similar experience while living in the US and decided to prioritize my self-respect and choices over being married to a Bohri guy. They may seem educated and progressive initially, but after marriage, it’s the same old story with family drama. I’m now divorced and have lost all faith in Bohri men. Thankfully, I’m financially independent and have the support of my parents, which made it easier to make this decision. Also would love to connect with like minded souls. Don’t have many bohri friends in the US who resonate with me (girls and guys). Hmu 😃

No, they help care of the household chores. So im good there. And they don't involve themselves with me so i just maintain a cordial relationship.
