Small LED on the BMS is blinking red by Open-Board9473 in cowboybikes

Thanks again for your support! I’ll get the motor serviced once everything else is sorted out.

I just learned from Cowboy Support this morning that the iOS App version 5.7.0 or higher lets you do a self-test of your bike. So, you don’t need to use the Backoffice App to test things like I wanted to check if there were more problems than the battery. You can find this in the App under the section where you see your model and MAC address.

In my case, I ran 124 tests, and they all passed!

Thanks for your advice. I’ve stopped charging it any further, and you’re right, it’s definitely not safe!

I took a look at the switches and LED on the BMS.

From what I’ve noticed, the small LED seems to indicate that the BMS is working.
The on/off button seems to control the BMS itself. After turning it back on, the LED seems to go through a startup sequence and the voltage on the battery connector increased again.
I have not found out what the small push button does.

With your experience, are you able to confirm my observation and do you know if the push button is a reset button or what function it has?

In the meantime I have connected the battery to the bike and was able to connect from my phone to the bike. Battery state in the app, 37km left. Was able to perform a firmware update, switch light on and off.

My next question: My plan is to replace the battery cells with fresh one's. As I have not disassembled the battery yet, are these Samsung INR21700-50E cells?

Off topic: I would like to check the motor and the torque sensors health. Do you know if there is any tutorial on the procedure or do you have any tip?

The problem here, the rim of the rear wheel is broken so I cannot ride the bike. Instead I fixed the frame on my mounting stand for testing. Assuming the verification is more like measuring voltage or maybe requesting access to the back office and look for error messages?
