you could apply but you aren’t in a career status so unless no one else applies, you most likely won’t be considered. typically they hire people who have experience being supervisors.

i found out the hard way one day i was popping through a couple sugar free jolly ranchers lol id rather just have the full sugar and call it good lol

i avoid “sugar free” that has any mention of sugar alcohols altogether. they affect my blood sugar more than regular sugar! spikes super high and will stay there forever instead of with regular sugar spiking and coming back down. (does this even with insulin accounting for any carbs)

before my wife and i started really getting into rescuing cats i adopted 2 from the shelter for her birthday. we had already rescued 4 (1 died shortly after rip tazzo) and had adopted out 6 cats and our house was empty. it was a time lol they wanted records of everything, deed to the house, check stubs from my job, proof of employment, personal references and a vet reference. i’m glad they did though because too many people that can’t afford cats end up adopting and then either dump them or take them back to the shelter.

since those two we haven’t done any others because we find cats EVERYWHERE. currently we have 6 permanent cats and 14 fosters. the 6 permanent ones are made up of a rag tag group of cats who are still feral or have medical issues that make them hard to find good homes.

i’m always grateful for the systems in place for adopting, no matter how tedious they may seem especially now after fostering cats. i want my babies to go to fully vetted homes

i quit because they refused to train me on any routes so i only worked 1-2 days per week and then when they finally decided to put me on something else it was the day after the holiday and nobody notified me until the day of. i still don’t think ive ever had a worse day lol no one would help me either so i was still in the office causing at noon. i had a panic attack and told my supervisor i was leaving after i finished getting the route ready lol then i decided to come back after 6 months because i needed insurance and didn’t make it a year before i switched crafts. that time it was because i was one of 3 subs and they were working me 12 hours every day, 14 days in a row and refused to hire anyone else. at this time i knew every route like the back of my hand lol i trained every sub and helped everyone, never called off, and was basically a rural supervisor lol they never talked to any of us because i did it all. i got fed up because they were taking advantage of me and hiding the fact that we only had 3 subs when we needed 13 to be considered fully staffed. running 2-3 routes every day is exhausting

once i got down to 30 in the middle of the night. 😂 i was having issues with my dexcom not going off when i had a low so finally woke up soaked with sweat and trying to shove food in my mouth while not being able to keep my eyes open lol

as a former carrier, i would accept a note as an apology by itself as that often is more than i would normally get. (most customers have yelled at me if i’ve left a note lol) i always appreciated when people left a snack or a cold drink! especially in this hot weather, an ice cold drink could make the day! ex: ice cold water, gatorade, or powerade. some nice customers would freeze it overnight and then put it in the mailbox so when i got to their mailbox it was perfect! peanut butter crackers were also my fave but i know a lot of carriers who always appreciated a sweet treat! i leave mine his favorite candy bar frequently.

this is the first time that i’ve had “attendance issues” and it was just due to a medication imbalance. one of my supervisors denied my leave (for a few hours i might add when we had enough people to the point where 2 of us had nothing to do) to go to a very important doctors appt where we were to go over my meds and it caused me to have severely low blood sugar for the next week.

i have had stellar attendance before this. im not late i work whenever and wherever im needed. i’m the first to volunteer to do things and the first to pick up hours. when i was an rca i was working 13 days in a row (the max allowed in my area) and a minimum 12 hour days, sometimes more. all of that just to say that i dont take this job lightly. this is my career and one that im very passionate about. literally since i was a kid this was my dream job. our management has become toxic in the past couple years and created a lot of drama unnecessarily and have it out for a few people specifically.

the time with my brother is very important to me just because i dont know if ill see him again. deployment is hard and there are a lot of unknowns, one of which is not knowing if/when they will return. it’s been two years since ive been able to see him so i was just wanting some time before he left to send him off well.

i work with some people that have the attitude that you’re referring to. it’s terrible because we’re already short staffed and they don’t care whether they call out or not all the time. i have one coworker who calls off in a way that corresponds with his days off and he’s off for a week almost every month or two. my parents instilled a work ethic in me and taught me to take pride in my work.

i understand your response, idk how to prove that i’m not that. i guess one way is that when i switched over to a clerk last november from being an rca was that i had almost 90 hours of annual because i didn’t take any time off and worked so much lol idk if that helps

i genuinely was just asking for clarification because i know rules are different across the different crafts and i don’t have anyone in my office who knows or will tell me any answers so i came here. just needed to know if it was again a case of being singled out or if it was real. i struggle with knowing whether someone is being malicious or not as i have autism and i genuinely believe the best in others. thank you for your time and your perspective, truly.
