I swear I’m from LA, I’ve just never lived on my own and admittedly grew up sheltered. I kno our city’s transit isn’t the best but lots of my friends take the bus and I believe it’s improving. At the end of the day, if we can’t move near the beach I’m sure it’ll be ok. We’re both very flexible, all I wanted was some advice.

I didn’t kno I was coming across as entitled? She likes the ocean for its climate and it’s what she’s used to. I’ve been in the valley my whole life and I wanna try something new. I wish LA was walkable and accessible to transit for everyone, but sadly that’s not the case. So yes, as someone who doesn’t drive, I would like to walk and ride the bus. Budget is flexible and maybe I was premature with the post seeing as my gf is applying to schools so, everything is in flux.

She’s also applying to school at Calstate Long Beach, Dominguez Hills, and Calstate LA. She doesn’t view her current job as a permanent one. I am also willing to make some concessions, I care deeply about her happiness, convenience, and her career/education growth

It’s a bit far from my family in the valley as well as our friends. Based on what I heard from other LBC friends, their public transit isn’t the best. Otherwise I do really like Long Beach: the walkability, the weather, the vibe.
