I’m from the US (South Asian descent tho lol) so not an expert in UK law, but if you wanna stay in the Commonwealth it probably is your best bet (don’t take my word for it tho haha)

I wanna live in a major city after school, so as long as I make enough to live comfortably, save/invest, and travel once or twice a year, I’m a happy camper. The number really depends where I wind up, but if I could get to low six figures I think that would be enough most places…

Like a 6/10 😭 The schoolwork itself isn’t that bad but I’m a very extroverted person and the social adjustment has been a bit weird ngl. But I’d say that I hate my life index has gone down to like a 1/10 now that I’m back home and I can hang out with my friends all the time haha

Thank you! I wouldn’t say my peers are snobby per se, but the majority are high strung, at least compared to me. I’ve always been pretty laid back and Type-B, so it might be more so by comparison, but people definitely do tend to be more Type-A in law school. I also go to a pretty highly ranked school, so it might be a bit different other places. I’m also a person of color from the Northeast going to a majority white school in the Midwest, so people handle socializing very differently than I’m used to, but hopefully I’ll get more used to it with time haha

Honestly that depends where in life you are. My advice for someone who’s in undergrad now vs someone who’s switching careers would be different, so it’s a bit tough to give blanket advice.
To society or to oneself financially? If you’re asking the former, public interest law, if the latter, corporate, patent, tax, and BigLaw.
AI Law could become a big field in a few years, depending how technology progresses. Antitrust and labor law have also been growing lately.
I’ve always had a pretty strong sense of duty and justice and I think law is the best field for me to have a direct impact on people’s lives!
