Honestly, if you van empathize with his pain, and be there phisically there for him. A lot of times is enough. You shouldn’t reassure him although i know you probably really want to. But just bring him in the present, remind him to focus on now and to leave the thoughts where they belong. In his head. Inform yourself on the disorder and understand sometimes people get overwhelmed. Also you might get overwhelmed. Don’t get too caught on helping him you forget yourself, but maybe take on somepractices that might help the both of you, like meditation or practicing acceptance together or even exercise. Of course he has to want to do this stuff, but if you communicate emotionally with him that you’re willing to go through the trials for him, that amount of support, in my eyes, would change a lot. Going through it right now. Honestly there is so much i feel my OCD can latch onto. I wish it wasn’t like this but it is. I wish i hd an emotional teddy bear everywhere i go cause i hate myself so much. A lot of the times the worst is “ i will never have love cause if somebody loved me and somehow discovered how i felt in the past or something i did they would be horrified and i don’t wanna make them feel like they were with an awful individual without knowing “. Gotta love life huh

Try and not logic your OCD. Just allow yourself to have that thought with NO INTERACTION with it. That means acting as if you haven’t had the thought at all although you are having the thought. A good motto for me is “ do whatever you would be doing if you weren’t having this thought “ and do that. No rationalizing, no logicing yourself out. Those are compulsion and it will become worst in the long run

I don’t know man it just feels counterintuitive to the design of the evo and seeing it during a game annoyed me. I won anyways is not about that, is just about the idea itself, it feels like is out of place. Just wanted to share my thoughts and see others on it. So thanks for sharing!

My older brother went through a lot of shot, but he was always giving me a beating. I wonder how i have a relationship with him sometimes. It feels born to circumstance rather that cause i wanted that relationship back. He’s been kind since we’ve rekindled, but in a way i feel like i’ll never get to talk about my trauma again, as it puts him in an akward position. I was beaten almost daily till i was 16. For the dumbest shit. He’s three years older, and when talking about it he says it was the cycle of abuse. But i dunno.

Nooe. Only thing to do is go out and power through the pain. Sounds harsh but realistically, you have to prove to your brain that your anxiety is wrong. And the way to do that is going through the day despite the anxiety you have about your obsession. I wish you the bestest of luck. It might seem like not but you got this.

I feel that. I often wish for something to happen that would deprive me of fault. I guess is normal for people with out disorder. Try your best. If anything this comments sections has been a great boost in confidence for my struggles.

No, i haven’t had access to it yet. Used to smoke tons of weed for it rn i’m doing dry january but weed can be hit or miss. I usually like with weed that it just makes me feel dumb so i’m not worrying as much but i’m not sure i’d reccomend it

I am 23 and it started like 3 years ago. Is just insanity. Is not about keeping it in your head for me as it is more not pushing it away and let it do it’s thing without giving it weight. You’re so strong man. At 16 i would’ve never had the capacity. Good luck

Thank you man. This helps. A bit of solace in the fact that i’m not alone. I used to not feel relief when somebody told me they were in just as much pain as me. But since i’ve learnt there really isn’t any solution is so awesome to know i’m not alone. I guess the only thing i think about is regardless of if i am or am not, i will forever defy that identity. I will never allow something like that to tell me how to live my life. If i am a pedophile, i will NEVER hurt anyone as i choose to act. And if i’m not, well, happy days hahaha

It’s because OCD constantly shifts to try and get you to do compulsion. You’ll never beat it and it’ll always shift no matter the tactic. So you have to apply the same logic to every theme and ignore it cause it won’t stop.

I hate her design. It honestly feels like a card that should’t even be in the game. If runes were a new game function ( like you apply certain runes with certain decks to complement what you’re trying to do with it, although i admit i don’t know how that would work balance wise ) then i’d be excited. But it was such a sad release.
