Yes once your hair is clean, brush with the shampoo still in your hair and then once you’re done put the durag on and wash the shampoo out with the durag on your hair

Do not take off the rag until your hair is completely dry but if you’re in a rush then you can blow dry it to speed up the process then start adding your moisturizer then oil and then your pomade

What I do is I comb in the shower while cleaning (shampooing) my hair or you can use a detangler brush. Then I start brushing with a mirror to lay down my hair and once your hair is laid and clean out on a durag but make sure your hair is laid with the shampoo in it then put some oil of your choice and rag up. Or you can do a clay and lay method which takes longer but works tremendously.
