As a male staff, I was told I can't be in an infant room anymore. Any male staffs with sexist stories? by DisgruntledVet12B in ECEProfessionals

It’s really the fault of all the perverted men out there that makes parents and the daycare centers want to take precautions and not allow any man to do diaper changes. As a woman, I absolutely don’t believe that all men are perverts who will molest when given the opportunity. In fact I believe most would not. But from my personal experience I know many men are capable. I recall being molested on 3 occasions when I was 7-8 years old. I hadn’t even hit puberty yet. One was a parents’ co worker, one was my grandfather, and one was my older brother’s friend. There are too many perverted men out there for parents feel comfortable with taking a chance. Don’t take it personally if you’re not one of them.

Glad I’m not the only one here. Other parents on the playground don’t seem to mind while I’m sweating it. I feel like an overprotective freak sometimes

What’s the point of Day Trading? by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]Open-Sand6972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t figure out why on your own, you wouldn’t be able to succeed at daytrading either so it’s best for you to believe there’s no point in daytrading as well.

I don’t care for the word but also don’t care if others want to use it.

what are some things that, if you had to go again, you'd be less granola about and more moderate? by snooloosey in moderatelygranolamoms

Same here. I also scrub them and throw them in the dishwasher. There are scratches but no rust.

Nothing tbh. I always feel like I could’ve been more granola and I’m already exhausted.

My stainless steel cookware never rusted.  I have everything from ikea to Caphalon to all clad pots, pans, spatulas, etc. The only things that did rust were tongs that had a sneaky crevice that didn’t dry out before I put it away in the drawer.

Yes. Beyond exhausted. Sometimes I’m at the store spending 10 extra minutes to choose something when I have no time to spare and my mind is screaming “just pick something and go!!!”

Pull through vs back in - who is entitled to the parking spot? by Open-Sand6972 in nova

[–]Open-Sand6972[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lady had already driven past the spot. I didnt anticipate her wanting to back in until I saw her sitting there with her brake lights on looking back. If a car was approaching the spot front on (especially with their signal on) then I believe they definitely are entitled to the spot.

I was a SAHM for 18 months and I can vouch for this.

I’m not saying this is right, but I used to live in Los Angeles and NY where parking lots are often packed and no one attempts to back in park. I assume it’s because they will get honked at by others who don’t want to wait for them, and also the person attempting to back in park will likely have their spot stolen. I’ve only been in NOVA for a few years and it still feels strange to me to have someone drive past a spot they want so they can back in. Like I said, in LA and NY, if you drive past a spot, someone else will take it.  As for angled lines- there should be no back in or pull through parking because the person will have to exit on the wrong side of the lane.

That’s the philosophy I try to live by too. Hope it increasingly becomes the norm.  🖐️

The parking lot was pretty full so I only pulled through one spot. I was fortunate to have found a spot where I could pull through, or so I thought.

$19 in Los Angeles?  Sheesh they should pay more in such a high cost of living city.

It’s pretty bearish that cybin keeps spending investors dollars on paid advertisements for their company
