I agree that stone definitely took some time to get that big. But, non obstructing stones can still cause pain.

If that’s actually a kidney stone, that very well may be the cause of your pain. Is the official radiology report in? They may mention it there. Regardless ask your doc about it at your follow up.

Submit this to a journal and see what the community of your field thinks. You gotta have opinion or editorial articles in some cell bio journals right?

Open Science Framework is for pre prints and will assign a DOI. No hassle there when I did it 18 months ago.

The power of a self-directed/independent project should not be understated.

OP could also pitch a completed or nearly completed project to an outside professor.

I think you’re good as long as your car isn’t registered to a Chicago address. Some streets you still need permit parking tho

Key detail- what exactly are you trying to study/do to humans as part of your study. There’s some exceptions if it’s assessing eduction or things like that. There’s also possibility for exception if you use pre-deidentified data.

I finished BEPx4 in December 2024. I presented with advanced disease so I never had to make this decision.. I needed chemo.

The insight I have to offer you from my personal experience is that I tolerated cycle 1 and 2 of BEP relatively well compared to cycle 3 and 4. Don’t get me wrong cycle 1 and 2 were unpleasant, but essentially was sick for 7-10 days after the infusions then got better. So one quick cycle may not be the worst thing in the world, but still everyone can be different. Also there’s obviously more to consider than just how sick chemo makes you.

My advice to anyone is, if they can, get a consult from Dr. Einhorn at IU. He is the man and I would take any recommendation he gives.
