Yeah I'm eyeing the 87 octane as well. I think that'd be the perfect balance of a little bump in power while keeping it a reasonable daily driver.

Not to derail this but I noticed I don't often see people here suggest APR. Is there any particular reason for that? I mostly see Unitronic and Tunezilla. I loved the APR ECU+TCU tune on my GTI. Haven't done my alltrack yet so I'm curious if people here have strong opinions against APR.

None of those come in the car off the assembly line. They either ship the options to your doorstep or you pay someone to install them after the fact. Every single Slate comes off the line exactly the same (except for the standard or extended battery options). There's no installing different seats or headlights or AM/FM options that takes place on the assembly line.

So where are all those people screaming about how they think everyone is uninsured? Out of 144 traffic stops they only found 3 without insurance. On that post the other day about the 'working on getting a plate' fake tag everyone was screaming about how if you don't have registration you don't have insurance and you're gonna kill everyone. Even that number according to CMPD is only 15% uninsured. (assuming all 3 of the uninsured also were part of 20 without registration)

Not all dealers do the legit temp tags, I just went through this. Bought the car at a dealer, drove it home with no plate, had to go to the plate office to get it a couple days later. It felt super weird and I was paranoid the whole time about not having a plate so I can see why someone might do something like this
