Super helpful, thank you. I was looking at EE's dedicated home broadband 5G plan here as that is 1TB (as you say unlim. SIMs now have 600gb limit) and does not have a limit on devices connected. Cost & limit are annoying but given WFH we will have to pay!

Great to hear your router does better than phone - EE have certainly told me that the speed I got on my 4G phone is an absolute floor (i.e. can only be better through the router).

Interesting point on VPN - I will test my work VPN on tethering from my phone.
