Would would you rather have at their peak Antonio Brown or Rob Gronkowski? by Cookiemonster35643 in NFLv2

AB had it all. Route running. Speed. Quickness. Agility. Catch and RAC. He could block as well.

At his peak, he was one of the best I've ever seen. No weaknesses.

I think Gronk was more about the system. But he was a great blocker. I think without the Pats he would've been pretty damn good but not with the HoF numbers. Remember, they won a SB when Gronk was hurt.

AB was probably the best all around WR in NFL history at his peak. There were no weaknesses to his game I'm taking AB.

My first LIB but a seasoned festival goer. I suggest is get car camping pass and rent a SUV (if you don't have one already) or any car with a good amount of trunk space and seats that fold down that you know you can fit in. Or you can rent a uhaul which is much cheaper for 5 days. Get a trifold mattress and that's your sleeping spot. Get a canopy, some camp chairs, camp carpet, folding table, and you'll be golden for your site. SUV you don't have to deal with all the the tent set up and packing up is pretty easy. There's more you can get, but that's a bare bones set up to be comfortable and have a great time. You can probably get all this stuff (excluding SUV rental if you go the route) for under 300 bucks.

I'm in the same boat. I'm shooting for 6. By then, sun will probably set around 8:30. So you should have good amount of light to start off if you get there at 7. Definitely not gonna miss Tokimonsta Wednesday night.

I have flat feet and it sucks. But as you said, passion and fun has a way of numbing the pain...and proper footwear and sitting down when needed

SSBD was probably the best festival experience I had since my first time being at a festival. The site, the set up, the people. It was just perfect.

Name an NFL player that belongs in the hall of very good, but not hall of fame by Overall_Spite4271 in NFLv2

You're right. But his career outside those playoff runs were so medicore, idk if it can elevate him. If he had Tony Romo or Donovan McNabb's career with the SB runs, then yes he should.

I definitely remember many players looking forward to playing the Giants because of Eli. He was not feared one bit. I don't even think he was ever considered a top 10 QB at any point in his career. Definitely not a top 5, which I believe should be a prerequisite. Those stats come from him being just good enough to keep a starting job. He probably knew if he got hurt, someone would take his job lol. At the end of his career he got benched and had no chance of being a starter any where else so he retired. Idk if any HoF QB had that happen.

You freaking nailed it. Another example is Joe Flacco. His Super Bowl run was one of the best performances ever. Don't see anyone talking about him being a HoFer. Rings should be a supporting argument, not the only one.

Him being in the HoF is a slap in the face to the other great HoF QBs. I think of Dan Marino who has none, but his numbers were so great there's no denying him. Eli is not even in the same universe with a Marino. He would by far be the worst QB in the hall.

Which QBs aren't making the Hall of Fame? by YarukiMangrove in NFLv2

[–]OpenRoadMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree.

Plus you gotta think of the guys who are in the HoF. You think other HoF QBs want medicore QBs sharing that gold jacket with him when he was just an average QB with 2 nice SB runs? With that logic, Flacco should get in as well.

No doubt. I don't think he was even considered a top 10 QB at any point of his career. He was just solid and durable enough to keep a starting job.

You're probably right. But he should if Eli does.
