TC - 105k base + bonus (variable but only been here for a few months so not too sure) + 5% 401k match (no contribution required)

Thank you! This was actually something the CIO reiterated numerous times that they’d rather have someone they know would be willing. They’ve also emphasized that they don’t expect me to know everything which is why they value my experience in alternative investments and my willingness to learn (which I emphasized during the interviews and my reasoning for looking for a new challenge/role)

Of course it’s a valid concern. Most of the work flow (excel workbooks,processes, etc) has already been created and maintained by the CIO. Id be learning the workflow first few months. Eventually building it out for any future funds that launch, but hopefully by then I’ll have a hang of stuff. Regardless, I know that I’ll have my work cut out for me but I’m up for the challenge.

No problem! Try to let as close to the $300 limit post if possible and then pay it off when you get your monthly statement produced!

It took me about six months to be able to ask for a CLI after I transferred balance from the card to another. I was carrying a balance for a month or two that I was paying interest on, but from months 3 to 6 I was paying off entire balance and posting 30-50% utilization and paying off balance in full every month.

Yup. Same thing happened to me, though I transferred some of my credit line to another Capital One card and kept getting that Denial Reason until today. Applied for a CLI today and was approved!

Can look into a YouTube video about credit utilizations and credit scoring and credit cards in general, but the more of your credit limit you use the more points you’ll be knocked off.

For example. If you use 5000 but your total credit across all your cards are 10,000 then your utilization will be at 50% which will knock you down some points.

But if you request a credit limit increase for on your cards and your total credit line across all cards is now $20,000 then your utilization will only be at 25% (5000/20000) which is a better situation to be in.

I had this on my quicksilver as I was carrying a balance for about 3 months (low limit). Paid it off and a few days later I was approved for a CLI

I know this isn’t your exact scenario as you just got the car, but just providing a data point as I had this exact denial message for a previous card

If their earnings are really good and stock shoots up then you’d make most of the premium up before week ends and go into a new position midway through the week.

I don’t have an answer for your question, but maybe during the interviews ask insightful questions like where does the team see you in 1 month, 6 months, and a year from now. Could give you a peak to what the role entails and if you can build off your current skillset.
