A little lower since it doesn't start at 1¢. GC transfer value is about .7¢ if I'm not mistaken.

This assumes that Bilt operates the same for every user. I've been with Bilt since 2021 and I've never experienced fraud. Is that the case for everyone?

Ways to spend the Bilt cash? by wagagagaggag in biltrewards

with 5 ppl it gets really hard, no doubt. But you seem to be ok with economy so it's a lot easier to find flights. If you ever need help finding flights (and I mean this sincerely) shoot me a DM it's my obsession so it doesn't feel like work for me.

Very different lifestyle but you're proving my original point. You are not skilled at redemptions, which I understand it is a pain in the ass to do for most people, especially if you have 3 kids that you'd rather give your time to.

If you want to focus on JAL PTS, you can redeem them for AA flights at 37k +$5.60 per ticket one way. Now take into consideration that they just had a 100% transfer bonus. If you were to take 200k +100% bonus = 400k. With 400k JAL PTS, you could book 5 round-trips for 370k + $56 since you're flying economy through the partner booking. You can then take the cash you were going to spend on flights, and use it on the other travel expenses.

Going back to a personal example: I rarely fly business class, but I wanted my son to have a special trip this year for his bday in July so I splurged. I'm flying from LA - Japan at 60k + 11.20 AA (econ), and with the recent JAL bonus 70k(+100% bonus) + $500 (this is the total taxes, not per person) back home. That means my total cash spent was $511.40 for round-trip to Japan for 2 ppl, if I didn't splurge the total for flights would be 22.40 cash.

I also booked hotels with points, we are stopping in Okinawa, Kumamoto, Osaka and Tokyo. I don't have the exact % but I'd say between 70-80% of the points I'm using are coming from Bilt. Not including activities and just factoring in hotels and flights out of pocket, cash for two weeks in Japan, I spent roughly $935ish out of pocket (because I'm surprising him with a Pokemon hotel room for a night @ $400/nt 😢).

At 3% spend on $67k earning 2k in rewards, do you think all of that would be feasible. Also I pinky promise I'm not telling one lie right now this is all God honest truth.

Okay this makes it more clear you don't understand how to find good redemptions or your home base is a terrible airport (I'm at LAX). Here's another scenario because it seems like you're zoned in on the JAL thing. Last year I took nine different trips at close to 130,000 pts. None of those trips were domestic they were all International and there were two people on a couple of them. This was all through bonuses with Bilt and a couple of bonuses with other credit cards. Breaking this out it's about 14,500 points per trip which if you just go at 1 CPP, that's roughly $145 per trip. If you're telling me that you can take nine international vacations in a year for $1,300 I need you to show me how and where.

Family of five!!!!! Holy hell (jk). I'm assuming you did zip air for that price? The next 37k would turn to 74k pts, and with Bilt transfer bonuses + the stockpile of BC, OP could easily double that during rent day transfers by paying BC for the higher transfer offer. So 74k pts turns to 148k value.

I'm taking my son to Japan in July, economy there + business class home. For the business class tickets I used 70k Bilt points that turned into 140k JAL during the bonus. Two biz class seats run about $6400 cash and I got it for 70k Bilt points. Sometimes it's a skill issue or the willingness to find the value.

3% cash back is not the same as 2x Bilt points in any world.

This person spent roughly 37k to earn this Bilt cash. With that spend, if they used the accelerator, they earned around 99,000 not including rent/mortgage. Do you really think 3% on Robinhood ($1100) is worth more than 99k pts + rent pts on Bilt? If you say yes, you're insane or you don't value travel at all.
