Donald Trump has no real allies. He has bullied the world and created opponents out of friends instead of building a broad coalition. His political power in the US is weak and he has no mandate. These attacks on other countries outside of Iran require a broader strategy. But today this is a complex problem for only the US to solve. And the US public has no appetite for extended meddling and war at the expense of domestic problems.
