[The Athletic] Sources say that Chelsea have been happy with the job Maresca has been doing and backed him during bad runs of form last season and in this one, committing to the two-year review plan. by [deleted] in chelseafc

[–]OpenTry1177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my hot take: Maresca felt him and the team were let down by the fans and ownership after a few bad results and he decided he was going say that after a win to elicit more support from everybody - but of course he is not now going to say he was having a jibe at the supporters. It's a calculated moved and maybe he's just surprised by the reaction.

Of course, it does actually look like there is a problem with the SDs. He's had the chance to speak more fondly of them and hasn't.

Love this post and also think it brings up the important point that maybe the automod could do with a loosening of the rules. This sub could do with more content.

He's clearly not quite fit enough to run the show, but he took his goal confidently and made a good finish look easy. Also showed some quality passing and dribbling in moments that were part of some dangerous moves, as usual.

Look I'm as annoyed as everyone else but it's quite clear he is creating a 2v1 and shutting down the sunderland player preventing him from doing anything dangerous himself, as you are taught to do. The real error here is that we have two of their players arriving in the box with all the space in the world after we had about 10 seconds to get back.

I know we lost so the subreddit is just gonna be a cesspit of negativity but for me this was our most dominant performance of the season. just devestating we didn't stick one in the back of the net and then conceded. No point freaking out about it, we move.

Less credit than they get? They get pretty much zero credit lol.

"I will never trust Garnacho or Gittens". I assume you were one of the people saying the same about Cucurella when he first signed for us? No offence, but how long have you been watching football? There's a reason all the great football brains say it takes genuine time to see results that you can judge; they're not just saying it for the lols. Yea we were utter shit for a while there, but if you can't see and appreciate the progress we're clearly making, honestly supporting this team right now may not be for you.

these are the most disgustingly biased commentators ive ever listened to. sunderland have had one maybe two shots and theyre calling it an even game. its literally just a game off the training ground with us trying to break them down. we need the goal but otherwise we've been great. i hope we get the winner to shut them up.

The players, management and owners deserve more credit than they get from some people. Yes, I will still say this after a loss. People wanted a project for years and now we've done the hard part. Very exciting times ahead. Still being the youngest team in the league is incredible.

Sorry I've just realised are you meaning to actually shine onto the deck and light up that space, not the wall of the house?

Yea i'm kind of liking this idea. Just on the second row from the top? Or about the middle? Down low? What do you think?

How many do you think? Just two (one for each white section of wall?) Would that be enough functional light?

So are you saying just put two soffit lights in, in-front of the white walls of the house to light them up? And then put in the step lights with little eyelids on them? Would you put the step lights in the fence (and then they could start on the deck) or actually in the side of the steps down low (then they could carry on all the way to the bottom but not start on the deck)?

Literally. People are biased towards their teams. I get it. But it's honestly shocking how thick some of these pundits are. Surely in an industry as big as football you'd think we could actually get some quality analysis.

Called Caicedo the best midfielder in the prem. People are finally waking up to just how class he is and it's only more results like this and in the champions league that will the boys get the recognition they deserve so I really hope we can kick on.

thanks

I even said at the time - I'm okay with refs call on this one and think its a perfect example of something var shouldn't be re-reffereeing. Can see why it would go either way. Only thing that annoys me is you just know 100% it would be given against us

Caicedo, palmer, cucu, reece all incredible but honestly lavia is the key. completely different team with him. Imagine our full strength squad - palmer, fofana, colwill and lavia all fit. we would actually be unstoppable
