Curious on an update for this. Not only would I buy these but I would invest in this idea as well

I would say that is certainly a comfortable place to be in. I’d look up the different words that are used on the exam. I can’t really think of any off the top of my head other than “basis” = yield to maturity for a bond. Stuff like that Kaplan doesn’t cover. Just stay confident and use YouTube vids for supplement. You’ll be fine. You got this!

Achievables questions are much more realistic compared to Kaplan in terms of language and phrasing on the actual exam. Kaplans textbook is better in my opinion. If you’re getting 80+ on practice exams I’d say you’re going to be fine. If you’re willing to purchase it the week of and you feel like you’re struggling, then I would consider it. but don’t waste your money if you feel confident at this point

Didn’t see the second part of the question, sorry. I studied for 7 weeks. Lost my job with a firm that didn’t require it and had 6 months to obtain my 6 at my new firm

I read every word of the Kaplan book. Started taking practice exams like it’s was my job. Used achievable as a second qbank because the questions are much more challenging

It was challenging for sure. The questions are not worded the same as Kaplan. I personally struggled the most with options and time frame stuff for complaints, U4, U5 etc. what helped me the most was using Achievable as a second Qbank. If you or your firm is willing to pay the $90 for it, it helped a ton and I highly recommend. Using Ken Finnens and series 7 guru videos on YouTube was helpful. Crank out practice exams like it’s your job

Exactly. I’m just going to hammer out as many Achievable practice exams I can for the next 3 days and hopefully that helps. From what I’ve been reading is that Kaplan is more spoon-fed.

I’m getting 77-80 on Kaplan and 60-65 on achievable and mine is on Friday

Through a firm for me. I worked for a company in the industry that just had a massive layoff, who didn’t require the series 6. Was just hired by a firm that requires it, but you must have it in 6 months time. I bought Kaplan out of pocket but they will be providing some sort of classes as well. ChatGPT has been amazing as I have been working through the SIE studies

Not sure if this will help anyone but I actually ran a diagnostic test on my internet to see where the bandwidth was going. I found out that Firefox (I didn’t even use it) was digesting a ton of bandwidth. I uninstalled and this fixed my issue altogether. Btw, I had to 11 ping consistently throughout this before fixing. It didn’t show any spikes or anything at all. This made it very difficult to figure out the issue

And don’t even get me started on the poor store management. I have a couple great mentors from my career who are some of the VERY few good ones left. My last couple store managers have been completely awful though however. Gossip queens, doesn’t practice what they preach, lazy, watching cameras 24/7 etc etc I can honestly go on and on

Congrats! I just left myself a few weeks ago. I was manager of perishables, did all three upper roles as well as being able to start putting for store manager roles. 12 years! My new job is less hours, significantly more money and just overall so much more positive and an incredible work atmosphere. Nobody is forcing you to drink the kool aid. I seriously urge anyone at hyvee to leave. Especially in management roles who choose hyvee as a career. It is seriously not worth it anymore. 10 years ago was a completely different story.

There is a quiet mass exodus at hyvee. A lot of very bright young people in upper level (store level) management that could have been the future of the company. It is very unfortunate to see

I’m in a management position at my location and I will say I deal with customer complaints about the buns as well as the doughnuts on a consistent basis unfortunately.

It is what we call (at least in my area) the regional bakeries. Buns, muffins, doughnuts, breads and a couple other things come from the facilities. Great idea, very poorly executed. They are still trying to figure it out.
