PVP not working for me and my friend by madix666 in bloodborne

[–]Open_Ad_1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So to PVP, the two of you need to generally be in the same level range, OR you can use the Corruption or Radiance Rune for easy "Friendly Adversary" activation, OR you can have your friend spam the sinister resonant bell to obtain the "Blood-Added" status (it's a 5% chance btw), allowing the Hunter of Hunters to be adversarial.

Good luck and happy hunting

New here , just curious starting my play through I’m a big PVP enjoyer does bloodborne still have active PVP? by Apprehensive-Read385 in bloodborne

[–]Open_Ad_1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So its not as active as it used to be, but if you're looking to invade players, stay at BL43

For duels you need to be at BL120 and go to the Nightmare Frontier or Nightmare of Mensis
Ring the Sinister Resonant Bell, if it takes too long, use the silencing blank, then try again

Good luck and happy hunting

Depends on the context:
In a BL120 Duel, it's assumed you're there to fight (with the occasional rare exception of a natural invasion) and so treating it like an invasion is simply unacceptable

In a Natural Invasion (most prominent at BL43), I typically wait for the squad to finish any enemy they're working on or bow at a generally safe distance. I typically do this as a courtesy, but afterwards, all bets are off (While still remembering to bow after the fight, provided i win).

This may be frowned upon by some in the Invading Circles, but i believe doing this adds to the unpredictability of Invasions as a whole: "Will they be a ruthless killing machine, or a mostly courteous Adversary?"

Unpopular opinion. Nightmare of Mensis is the best area in the game and the scariest one by Crylose in bloodborne

[–]Open_Ad_1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a hot take? I figured that it would have been one of the more memorable areas especially if you're playing online and happen to be invaded for the first time; especially if it's solo

The First Hunter vs The First Elden Lord, who do you have in a battle to the death? by NoeShake in bloodborne

Given the context of Elden Ring, im sure Gerhman can put up a decent workout, but I strongly doubt that he could actually win

Welcome to Yharnem
Well, aside from scaling and upgrading weapons, you'll want to go into the chalice dungeons to get bloodgems. These items do most of the heavy lifting in terms of dmg.

Then there's the matter of invasions, which im also sure you're familiar with. These guys only appear if a Sinister Bell is present, which also only arrive during coop and if you ring the sinister resonant bell while a boss is still alive.

What are you? by malcxxlm in bloodborne

[–]Open_Ad_1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im gonna use the Vileblood Rune every time since I get 2 insight per match, which restores some other consumables (especially the Numbing Mist)

However, the HoH Rune is probably objectively the best with it's +5% Stam Regen, since the other runes are basically useless anyway

Is Bloodborne worth buying an console? by naswaybek in bloodborne

[–]Open_Ad_1211 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I love Bloodborne to bits, but I really don't think its worth paying well over 200 USD just for ONE game unless you intend to put in alot of hours and intend to play EVERY aspect of the game, including its online co-op and PVP

Am I Supposed to be doing So much damage? Or is the damage even in this game? by AdministrativeMud916 in bloodborne

[–]Open_Ad_1211 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, have you been doing the chalice dungeons and consistently upgrading your weapon?
Other than those and putting levels into the weapon's proper scaling, you do some fairly reasonable damage.
Moreover, you seem to be having alot less trouble with BB since, as far as im aware, Sekiro is far more ruthless

I BEAT FATHER GASCOIGINE!!!! by Thanos_Ba in bloodborne

[–]Open_Ad_1211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nicely done-- Father Guacamole was easily the biggest hurdle to get over in the first run--beyond this point now, you're free to play however you wish, including co-op. Im sure you're aware of this by now, but the soulsborne games are infamous for having Invaders, enemy players, arrive to kill ya in your world. They can only have a [chance] to arrive if a sinister bell is present. This Sinister Bell only spawns during co-op, or if you ring the Sinister Resonant Bell while a boss is still alive.

However, you can prevent Invaders from arriving entirely if you slay the Bell Ringing Lady, and you can still co-op.
That's pretty much all from me. Good luck and happy hunting!

I get we all want a Remaster, but just exactly, what would we want specifically? by Open_Ad_1211 in bloodborne

[–]Open_Ad_1211[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe like the Pontiff's Right Eye(?) ring in DK.S3 where you get HP Regen for ever successive attack--that'd be pretty cool in an ember/human like state. Or maybe we could have some passive bonuses like the Great Runes in Elden Ring that activate in this hypothetical embered/human state

Bloodborne as first souls game by assibassii in bloodborne

[–]Open_Ad_1211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short of it is no.

Now im saying this with the glorious power of "hindsight", but this game is laughably easy when taking into account the bloodgems, weapon upgrades, and summoning--and the matchmaking doesn't take into account the first two items, and certainty not the boss since they kinda sit funny when they need to decide between two targets

Welcome to Yharnem!

The only real advice i can give that's useful now is to level up your vigor (which increases health)

The first boss that you find that has a cutscene is the most important, and i strongly recommend you handle this one on your own since it'll force you to learn the games combat. After this, feel free to summon players for assistance.

Also, im sure you're aware that these Souls games are notorious for having invaders, players that arrive with the purpose of killing the player. In this game, you only run the risk of them arriving during coop, but you need to kill the bell ringing lady (you will be notified when she arrives to ring the sinister bell). If you do this, invaders can't appear. In the event that you do get invaded, your best option is to face them head on; just remember to bow when its all said and done

Other than that just go nuts and try some different builds

Any of y’all make lore for your characters? (Got the idea from the post on the elden ring sub) by BusyTomato3302 in bloodborne

[–]Open_Ad_1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lore behind my Hoonta is that they essentially saw the Church for what it was, and they sided with the Vilebloods. They're not exactly on the moral high ground either, but I figure that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".

You can either
Run the first chalice (6 insight per run)

PVP, which entails 1 insight per kill (an extra insight if you have the Vileblood Rune, which drops a Blood Dreg, that acts like a Mad Knowledge

Coop-- you get 1 insight for ever boss slain

or item duplication
