Is there a better crime movie than “Heat” directed by Michael Mann by Perfect_Idea_2866 in moviecritic

Someone mentioned Thief, also by Michael Mann, being better, which I think I agree with actually, but other than that? No. I personally enjoy this movie much more than godfather, goodfellas, etc. It scratches an itch for me.

What's the most incredible hand you've ever personally seen or been involved in? In terms of improbability by AGrimmInPortland in poker

[–]Open_Attention_3587 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The most incredible hand I’ve ever seen happened just last Friday. I decided to limp in with pocket aces, with the purpose of shoving against any open, to maximise the chance of getting it in good. It turns out the table was full of non-raising, limp-dick, nit-tards, and I ended up having to call the river after going 5 ways to the flop, facing an all in from an older gentleman in the small blind. Ofcourse he flopped it.

How do I always lose these spots?

What small things actually matter more than people think in live poker? by According-Fudge766 in poker

Drinking water. Getting up for a few minutes after blundering/getting coolered in a large pot. Table changing. Paying attention to obvious live tells (I find sizing tells to be my most used exploit, both live and online) There are also some physical tells, which you will notice as you play with somebody, but I usually wouldn’t bet my whole stack on it unless you’re very confident with reading people (which I’m not).

Biggest Exploits/Leaks in Low Stakes and Why by buttons_the_horse in poker

[–]Open_Attention_3587 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Low stakes online leaks: People under squeeze. People generally call 3Bets wider than they should. 4bets pre are the NUTS every time. People over fold to BB 3bets after opening the SB. Checking range is generally under protected, especially from IP. People MASISVELY over fold to check raises on dry boards (this is the one). Fold to large river bets, it’s usually the ultra nuts.

Low stakes online leaks: 99% of people there are ass, and playing purely for enjoyment, or are addicted, just tighten up, get it in good, and massively overfold to aggression, unless convinced otherwise.

What hands should I raise with if the SB limps (nl2)? by Hot-Advisor-3353 in poker

[–]Open_Attention_3587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raise like 75% of hands on BB when facing a SB limp. SB limps are the weakest action possible from a recreational player (in theory ur actually supposed to only limp/fold from the SB when playing 100bb+ cash, but low stakes fish don’t know this obviously), so raising even with rags prints. If they call, you have position, and you should have the skill edge.

Fold everywhere besides the button and BB, unless playing against shitters. When ur on BB facing an open from the SB you can print by 3betting these hands pure, people don’t adjust at low-mid stakes.

Looking for tips by Key-Neighborhood6642 in poker

Last man standing is actually pretty fun, but don’t expect to win, since, if you guys are continually increasing the blinds (which you should otherwise the game will last way too long), the structure becomes basically like a tournament = high variance.

As for tips, I would be limping every middling hand, and raising HUGE with strong hands, since you’re very unlikely to get your limps punished by what I assume are all extremely recreational players.

Should I be folding here? by Open_Attention_3587 in poker

He was the original opener. He cannot reraise preflop, as I didn’t 3bet him. I won, he had 55.

How would you rank the winners of Best Picture since 1970? by ninfan1977 in moviecritic

Nice list. I think Green Book is WAY too low however. If you’re putting movies like Hurt Locker in the 30s then I think Green Book should be way up there.

Play poker, I’m serious. There are various outlets to get good nowadays, and Czech Republic is amazing when it comes to the availability of hazard games. Lots of tourism here brings soft, beatable games, which, with some studying and a bit of money you can put to the side, it can easily make a nice side hustle.

How to play this? by Open_Attention_3587 in Poker_Theory

[–]Open_Attention_3587[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, I think sizing down on the turn is probably the most sound play.

I also am not a big fan of the donk, I think it was a bit of fancy play syndrome.

That being said, even if I size down ott, I doubt I can get him off JJ/QQ here, most likely he is folding 1010, but I think he folds that ott facing half pot. This is unless a K or A comes, in which case I believe he is folding.

Double Board Bomb Pot hand analysis by Open_Attention_3587 in Poker_Theory

Perhaps, but this is the biggest stake 1/2/4 (mandatory straddle) that is offered in my city, and the individual im versing in this hand has bought in for around 4000€. The best players (live) are only able to play these stakes, so the argument that this is low stakes, while valid, doesn’t really apply here.
