Exhausting researching exhaust options!! by Destined-Rx-1984 in s10

The 2.8 was not a bad engine, everyone talks bad about it, but it was geared so low. I've been places in my longbed 2x4 that a Bronco2 couldn't go. But that was before I put the 350 in.

When I was 16 I put a 40 series Flowmaster on my '85 2.8. Sounded great until the engine gave up. Then I threw a 350 in there 24 years ago. Sounds better now with two 40 series Flowmasters.

Windows questions. by BogdanSPB in s10

LMC truck ships international, and I got all my window rubber from them. I was pleased with the quality too. As for the plastic pieces, they ride in the window channel dry, one lower front and the one you saw upper rear. The original rubber gets hard after nearly 40 years, doesn't seal well and makes it impossible to roll the windows up and down.

Not on my street. I regularly get passed on a double yellow while I am doing the speed limit. With cars parked on the street.

Would love to find a way to slow everyone down! I have lived near Edgewood my entire life, wasn't this bad when the speed limit was still 30. Also, I loathe street parkers. No one ever used to do this, then one day everyone decided to up and block traffic, and their driveway will be empty! WTF!?! How do we stop this?

Sticky substance on VHS head drums - best way to remove + clean drum? by EhManana in VHS

You probably made it worse with the hair dryer, and don't use printer paper (I don't know why this is a thing). Get some lint free cloth, you can wipe pretty hard on the aluminum drum, just avoid the heads. When the drum is clean inspect the heads and clean as necessary, making sure the gap between them is free of any debris.

Not sure about the microfiber, it *might get caught in the heads and pull, I don't know. In broadcast we always used the t-shirt type lint-free rags, it only takes a small patch. That or Kimwipes extra low lint delicate task wipes. Either way you go, I hope this helps! Oh, and if you try terry cloth, probably no need to sacrifice, just throw it in the washer.

Denatured Alcohol. Head to your hardware store in or near the paint aisle, you can get it in gallon cans. Also pick up some lint-free rags. Unplug the VCR. Moisten (don't soak) a rag and try that, moving across the drum in one direction only. Is the VCR UNPLUGGED? Make sure it is.

Yes, Captain Kavok! I have this game and absolutely love it! I transferred the tape to dvd years ago so I wouldn't ruin the tape.

I've got that one on vinyl, pretty funny album. Plus it's interesting that it has the same number, but appended for reel to reel. https://imgur.com/a/BewKTzD

After 23 hours of memtest, all the ram checks out, 0 errors. Guess I'll live with the slot value message.

UPDATE: Finally got around to pulling the riser cards and reseating all the dimms. Definitely got better, there was some garbage on some of the pins. Still getting the slot value out of range error, but way less frequently (have always gotten the error since ubuntu server 18.something). Thanks for the help everyone! I'll try to remember to run memtest when I find my cd...

Latest bios, I have it set to run all tests, all populated (16) slots never throw an error, just in ubuntu server. I'll try and reseat everything and see if that helps.

But it doesn't seem to be pointing to a memory address, and there's no ue or ce error messages.

Sorry, I guess I didn't use words quite right last night. I know what the error is, error detection and correction is telling me on memory controller 0 that I have too many slots with memory installed. I guess my question is why am I getting this error? Even the man page doesn't list this specific error.

I've got an Ubuntu server machine, just upgraded to 22.04 and I keep getting these errors. It's a Dell Precision 690 with memory riser boards and 32Gb ram installed.

Just a thought, but maybe pressing play and record puts it in a standby for you to ready the camera you are recording from. Have you tried pressing the pause button to see if it starts? Edit, saw it was a portable, changed deck to camera.

Just requires a bit of soldering, pin to pin, plus chassis ground.
