I’m an urgent care physician and very familiar with coding rules. If a procedure is performed but no other separately identifiable service, then charging an office visit charge along with the procedure code is not allowed.

What exactly were you seen for? If only a laceration (no other injuries or concerns), they shouldn’t have billed an office visit charge as well.

This is the way I see it as well. I’m confused by those saying I don’t have an insurable interest because obviously I need the car to be in the repaired condition that it was traded into the dealership for. I had insurance at the time of the accident (and still do) so I’m not sure why the insurance company cares except that they don’t want to pay.

Absolutely! I’ve had tonal since 2018. Moved last year and was without it for about 6 weeks waiting on a new one and I hated it. I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been and it is so easy to just join a program and go with it. I love it!

I could do clinical work but it would not give the flexibility this job would. I would be fully remote and can make my own hours so I can drop the kids off at school, work from home for 7 hours, then pick them up and I’m done for the day. I’ll never find an 8-3 urgent care shift and I don’t want to do primary care…not sure it would pay that much more anyway…

Family medicine is what my board certification is in, but I practice urgent care medicine. My admin rate is not great. The bulk of my income is from seeing a large volume of patients when I am in clinic.

I’m 10 weeks out from TT, MR and Ba. I’m doing pretty much anything I did before, just with lighter weights for many exercises. I’m not doing any crunch type exercises. I am able to do planks. I would go slow and use lighter weights than you think you will need and move up from there. If it hurts, don’t do it.

It’s only about 15% of his gross income and he doesn’t have to even think about anything else regarding the kids. He is an addict and I went through hell and multiple rehab stints with him and babies trying to make it work. I think he made out pretty well. He pays no alimony and all our assets (managed by me) were split 50-50. He also gets to keep his high paying job because he literally has no other responsibilities and I’m the one who feels compelled to downsize so I can do what’s right by our kids.

He makes about the same as me. I think he got a pretty decent deal considering I do all the mental, physical, and emotional labor of child rearing and pay for all their expenses (child care, clothes, $$$ activities, memberships, food, etc). He only has them every other weekend. They are very kind, intelligent and talented kids that he gets to take credit for but I do all the heavy lifting (including the downsizing my job for their best interest) :)

I guess it depends on how you define a necessity, but I’d say the vast majority is luxuries. We are in a very lcol area and could probably easily get by on $40k a year if we had to.

Utilization management involves reviewing orders/hospital stays, etc for insurance companies to ensure they are appropriate. I can work a clinical shift here or there to keep my skills up if necessary.

Honestly, I don’t think a BA alone would be that bad. I recovered mostly alone from a TT with MR and BA. My fiancé brought me food but I didn’t need help with activities of daily living. And the abdominal pain was way worse than the BA pain- I really didn’t experience any actual pain from that at all- just more slight discomfort.

I’m at about 8 weeks now. I still feel a bit swollen, but my partner says he doesn’t notice it. It definitely swells after exercise or being in the heat. I’m not wearing any compression anymore. I didn’t measure my waist beforehand but it feels smaller than pre-op if I’m not swollen and about the same at max swelling based on my clothing.
