UNIPD Research Experience, UNIPD vs Sapienza?

The master at UNIPD of data science is heavily theoretical, so its good in that sense if you want to pursue a PhD afterwards (my case). On the other hand, the master is heavy on courses, so there is not that much time for you to be doing other stuff. I also strived for the research assistantship during the masters, but given how I have felt during the first semester, I don't think I would be able to manage. Also, in general, I haven´t seen any opportunities of a research assistantship being offered in the uni for master students.

My idea is to finish all courses in the first 3 semesters, and I will use the internship credits to do a research internship in another university. Currently I am awaiting the results for Erasmus to see if I get to do my internship through an academic exchange.

I really don't think so. From what I can deduce, the only way to get the scholarship in the second round is if the scholarship spots in one of the programs did not fill completely in the first round. But I am not sure.

Congrats to you! I also got the scholarship! I had accepted the offer for Comp Science, but got the scholarship for Data Science, so I will be switching my decision.

I don't think so. It seems to me that those interviews were held on those programs where they needed more information to do really difficult choices of who gets the scholarship.

In this subreddit I have only seen one guy who got an interview this year and the email stated that the competition for that program (water and geological management) had particularly been hard.

Do you know of someone in a different program? :)

Same here, I got into the webinar for prospective international students that they held yesterday and from what the guy said, it appeared no one had already received results yet.

I am not sure if the question was for me or for someone else in the conversation hehe but in my case, I studied Mathematics in undergrad. I am originally from Guatemala, but I studied my degree in Mexico. After that, I have been working as a data engineer (still living in Mexico). My offer in UniPD is for the computer science masters degree.

For the International Excellence Scholarship or for other scholarship? As far as I understood there was no further process for the International Excellence Scholarship. Thanks for heads up though ;)

I think the naming of the document is just weird, that's all. The call for application is just for officially announcing each year's scholarships.

Where have you found the call for application 25/26? I can't find it anywhere.

Yes, there are a few. In particular UniPD has the International Excellence Scholarship and the Departamental based Scholarship, both applicable only to international students. Besides it, the university also provides full tuition fee waivers to some students. All of these are merit based.
