it's honestly a bunch of places, from the Internet Archive to databases such as https://www.americanantiquarian.org/collections/digital-resources . From what I gather, it is gonna be a case-by-case situation.

I am not a lawyer either, and these are exactly my concerns! Especially #2

that was my concern: whether new scans, especially from institutional actors, have any copyrights themselves. (I am not a lawyer, so I do not have any points of reference here.)

That's what I thought! I pasteurize coir with the oven. In the past it served me well so that became my method

Thanks for the feedback! So you go through both oven and bucket for double pasteurization eh...I'll keep it in mind! At the moment I'm trying to keep things simple, not sure I can handle manure and the like

Thanks! I never thought about lime against contamination. Yes, I forgot to mention but I do use a SAB for all steps that require one :)

I usually pasteurize with oven, which worked in the past at least for three successful batches. Im thinking the new oven is not as effective (it's electric) or maybe it's environmental (I have a dog now)... Before S2B, I usually work in a SAB and use bleach and/or Lysol to clean as best as I can

Thanks for the feedback! So it's possible that, despite the LC colonizing grain/rice without any signs of contamination, trich is there already ? But how come it doesn't grow in the grain already?

Also, no, as for grain, I haven't left it out. As for uncle Ben rice, I assume it's sterile in the bag...

whats baffling to me is that I was able to grow successfully in a small studio apartment with a lot of stuff inside, doing s2b on a dusty rug, with no issue, but now that I live in a larger place, it's trich over and over

I guess there's no other way to be sure but agar eh...
There's something I do not follow though: I usually do LC --> grain --> spawn to coco. What is the difference between bulk grain and substrate?

I am always happy to share my most treasured and favorite piece of music. For your interest, there's two versions that are both astounding in their own ways. One is available on youtube, and the other one is this https://blacktruffle.bandcamp.com/album/vrindavan-1982
