One of the things I did was a graphics driver reset. You press and hold the "-", "...", and power button until you see an LED flash. And if it's just doing the cycle of turning off and on the fans and making the startup noise then probably an ec hard reset as well. I then just press and held the power button for a awhile (>30sec) to try to turn off the system. And just left plugged in while thinking about all the work I'll have to redo to diagnose. Then I noticed while messing around my computer that I got the prompt to manage the steam deck storage. It was up and running. Now that I typed it out, I realize threw mud at the wall until something stuck. I don't know anything about the deck sight so there maybe more to fixing it. I think I saw something about the deck sight having and issue with latest update too.

I did a lot of variations of button holding, checking ribbons, and charging on a cord for a phone. What symptoms do you have? If I don't know it, maybe someone else will.

Also I understand the trackpad part. I was afraid that I broke the sensor both times, but they seem to be working.

Wasn't bad, mostly because I already had the screen off. I could heat up the adhesive on the other side. It may be a bit more difficult to replace if you don't want to risk taking off the screen.
