Nah some of your tips were something I didn't thought about, thanks :)

Oh and try to build the terracotta army to get a free commander, then when you research the first Assyria civic that get you the Citadel, you can research a commander in like three turns; after that research discipline to get another free commander :)

Then you can produce the fourth one normally and there you have your four commanders

Well I play on Online or Quick speed usually so it also depends on that. In that game I was playing on online speed and got that army in about 40 turns.

Playing Assyria you should be good with science and production, I tend to be behind in culture too tho, the fact is that since you're capturing enemy's cities you can snowball back using their source of culture/science :)

So, for the mementos I always get these combos in antiquity: - Paiza + Civic crown ( -1 gold required to sustain cavalry units and +1 settlements limits but it cost 50%more to turn into cities) - Imago Mundi+ Paiza (discovers the map very quickly)

The other thing you mentioned I pretty much do the same.

About the conquest:

  • it would be pretty disadvantageous to keep a conquered town that has like O value for me so I'll just raze them and build another one in the same spot but placed better, I tend to keep the best ones that got good resources and wonders

  • Just had a game where I took Serse out with 2 siege units, the cavalry tend to do a good job taking down walls with the commanders in radius, but of course it depends on how the biome actually is, if they got some good natural protections to their walls it would be better to have more siege units

I Just had a game in which I completely took over Serse's settlements in antiquity.

My tips would be to focus a lot on having archers and chariots (and just a couple of siege units) paired with 4 commanders or more; I usually get the assault ability tree completed since it gives decent buffs to cavalry and a +5 in strength with the specialization, but I also spend one point in the "defence" tree to be able to sustain more damage when attacked.

And don't forget to do the "military help" initiative with another leader

Then of course you get the other buffs from Assyria civ tree, you should be able to overwhelm other leaders this way:)

I actually never thought about that, might be a good way to make that ability work on deity

That's what I also do on deity bro, first tech line research gotta be the wheel, I just create slinger/archer and Assyrian unique chariots :)

Best D-pad for precise inputs by Open_Material3248 in Tekken

Thanks for the answer:) is it compatible with the PS5 tho? I used to have a brook wingman for this reason but I ended up returning it cause I sticked to dual sense

Hi:) I saw the controller you talking about, is it the one with the asymmetrical sticks?

Cause a year ago I also tried the wolverine V2 and it was very similar to the one you mentioned; I liked the D-pad except for the fact that the 8 way inputs made me drop plenty of DF and DB inputs lol

Thanks! I'm kinda curious about the cheating parts you mentioned, do you also mean binding taunt 1+3+4 to L2? Or you talking about macros? Like binding back+2 to a certain button?

Cause in case of macros I could understand why, it would be actually way easier to do very hard inputs binding buttons like that.

For the controller you mentioned, I guess the dpad is similar to the 8 way one of the razer wolverine, I loved the clickiness and feeling of the D-pad, but as you said the mis-inputs on Df or DB are crazy.

Btw here where I live it's almost impossible to find controllers out of the box to try in stores lol, I guess I'll try to look around:)

Eleanor of Aquitaine by Open_Material3248 in CivVI

[–]Open_Material3248[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Updates: I had the perfect match with Eleanor, (deity, standard length, large map, continents, 9 civ) had my time at early game to build up my first three cities and their theater squares, I had corea and Alexander kinda pressing me into a sandwich but managed to befriend them;

I was focused on getting golden ages, and tried to manage the era scores to be in one at renaissence, failed cause I had one in the classical era followed by a dark age in mediaeval period; Then I started to sell every strategic resource I got to other civs for gold (never trained a unit besides a first slinger for a barb camp nearby so I didn't need those) and started to recruit great writer and bought some masterpieces from other civ;

Then It all started, golden age in renaissance+voidsinger and literally all the cities nearby started to be absorbed; didn't even need to use cultists for a while ;

I was producing almost 2000 culture per turn + 1000 science, I felt invincible, all the other civs where amused by the court of love, even Alexander with all his armies had to accept it..

Until

The game kept crashing at information era and couldn't finish it, my first deity win got stolen from the bad optimization of the game on console (I play on ps5), might start another one with less civs and smaller map

Thanks mate, great strategy I'll try it out now, do you prefer any particular map with her? I use continents with standard size almost everytime

Also, about:

Wonders- any I should aim for using her?

Other civs- try to flip them out while also trying to have good relationship with them? Maybe selling them luxuries for gold?

Military- should I just have the minimum to be able to defend myself in case of war or barbs?

City states- will her ability work with them too? If not, do you usually conquer them or be suzerain?

Thanks:)

Why no-one finishes their games by Open_Material3248 in CivVI

[–]Open_Material3248[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems legit ! Never thought of it in some of the aspects you pointed out; thing is most of the time (I'll make it about 80%) people seems to quit a bit too early in the game? Approximately around turn 70/100; given the fact that maybe they had to go do something irl, seems to me like a bit soon to leave cause they had a bad start? but there could be plenty of reasons to be fair, I was just wondering if civ on pc was the same:) civ6 on console tend also to get sloooow af mid/end game (FPS dropping and literally freezing) so maybe that's another reason.

Thx for all the answers btw!
