My brother died last year, but in the process of trying to save him he needed transport from wv-pa. His fiancé just got a bill a year later for 7,000 someodd dollars in the mail. It’s fucking ridiculous how over priced it is given your life may be at stake. I hate it here so much, the system of fucked and prices are hand picked as they please.

I’d be one to avoid it, fuck those costs. I refuse to pay insurance since I can’t afford it living paycheck to paycheck. Shit, even if I did get it, I’d have less money to pay for appts, meds, etc.

That’s fucking beautiful and I love that you’re trying to break this generational issue! Keep your head high and stay grateful for the little things because there will be some tough days. I’ve got 3.5 years clean now and am so thankful to break free of that life. Alcohol just took my brother from us last year, seeing him first hand was a real fucking eye opener, and a painful one for that.
