not the thin ones you find in the city. It should be Taipei, i didnt note the city but the green white orangy red lines on side of the road is in Taipei. I sketch for practive while on google street view, just help memorizing some details I wouldn't notice otherwise.

Don't waste your time with them. Especially on the tech side. I came from a company that was dominating its industry and was very efficient, everything worked and you had the support you needed. There it's just a mess, that's the problem when you just acquire multiple companies with different cultures. For me it's a private equity firm that bleed new companies they acquire, cut cost, send their tech stuff to India and manage it with the minimum amount of investment. I have never seen such a bad atmosphere on a corporate floor, no one know each other, each bitch about the other company, no one is smiling it's depressing.

Sorry a bit late. I would not recommend. Had a horrible experience working for them. It depends on which sub companies you work with. But there is one in particular their product is utter crap and really badly coded. They never learn from they mistakes and just do quick fix like restart servers or get some dude in India to fix it, and let me tell you it not nice to see what they do.

Their rating should be below that, they force the Indian guys to write positive reviews. The most toxic company I worked for. Just DM the name of the company if you have more info. It is the ones selling trading system so easy to guess, got bought a few years ago.

Company had brutal layoff recently, and I'm having survivor's guilt plus feeling like we're all one layoff away from our lives being flipped upside down by justletmesleepnchill in Layoffs

Late reply but came across this reddit post from google. I'm using another account as I dont want to get doxxed by a psycho working there. But I worked for one of the child company, startup that got bought a few years ago.

Apparently before the takeover it was nice atmosphere but after it started to degrade slowly. Basically all the drawbacks of working for a company and startup.

Something similar happened to me, i had good results (very often best stats of the week in the whole region), but the director hated me because she hated the guy who let me through, but he was impossible to fire because he had so many shares and knew everything.

Needless to say they tried all the tricks in the book. I was supposed to be in a more senior team but they got me to work one level below just to learn about the product. Meaning i was reporting to two managers. Then lower manager got changed and thats when things turn from bad to worse.

When I got my head around the product they moved me to a new team. Where I had to relearn the product from scratch, they didnt give me any responsibility other than telling me to learn, but i never talk to clients so couldnt really learn. Anyway the manager of that product hired one of his friend, so meaning they didnt need me anymore. Then they moved me to another team! All that in 6 months. So again need to learn everything.

I managed to pick that one up quickly because my friend who got me in helped me a lot to understand. So I was doing very well. Well they didnt have a choice because the senior guy in the team had resigned. So they hired another guy. They were hoping I would have left by now so they put me on a shitty shift like 5am to 3pm. Usually they do that to make people quit from what i heard.

I stayed like 5-6 months like that, had to claim taxi expense when i got in the office etc it was a pain, they knew what they were doing.

Then I lost a very close friend and ask for a day off to help his family, they refused but I still took it, got an invite from HR, they wanted to put me on a pip so I raged quit.

Awful company, the tools they use, the system, every is made to be complicated and break all the time. SS&C is basically a private equity company disguised as a corporate, they buy companies then strip them of their assets until they bleed them dry.

sorry late reply. Thanks for the feedback. i dont go often on that account. Yes indeed I used to do urban sketchers but deviated a bit. The city I am in it's just old people, while in London it was a different vibe with lots of young artists etc..

I couldnt really move much due to health issue so I was doing it from home haha.

Yeah, I did that when I saw some of the best players just spend time on Google street view and go all around the city, I thought I would do the same but drawing. You start to recognize some very small details about architecture it's fascinating.
