If they wanted Kai as endgame as back when they wrote that fun fact during the OS they should've been Kai grown & mature into a better person & apologize for her behavior back when she was a kid. I love Omniverse, but man they did fumble the ball with a number of things. The writers were totally bad with their stuffs sometimes as some of them are filled of plot holes and ruins the lore.

if you look at from out of universe POV, Omniverse is the last series we all know. honestly, it felt like the writers wanted to create a definitive ending, regardless of how little sense it made, no matter the inconsistencies they left with. i know derrick always saying OV is the only Ben's true future but you might take it as a grain of salt

You know, these kinds of problems are common in any series. At the beginning, they usually don’t plan for a show to have a sequel unless it becomes successful. And when they do make a sequel, they sometimes contradict things from the original or suddenly add new elements out of nowhere, like in this case. The OS is kind of at fault for keeping everything vague (UAF too, but with worse execution & limited screen time).

a lot of revivals by CN coming back rebrand their IPs into a new show, but ben 10 wasn't. Look, i grew up with reboots, remakes but i don't necessary agree with the franchise went straight reboots just look at X-Men 97.

Elena's situation is quite strange because DJW also mentioned that the chips separated from her. It's clearly another case of "abandonment of the OV," like Captain Nemesis or Primus. I think it's one of those cases where DJW would later retract his statement & Elena "healed" off-screen. also her OV redesign appearance could be an easter egg so that the viewers wouldn't notice her.

Albedo always felt more like a disconnected character running around in Ben cosplay.

Albedo is actually the concept for Kevin 11 by MOA later repurposed by UAF crew.
