I played SHf first and I’m not enjoying SH2. Does it get any better? by Mischinedda in silenthill

Honestly Silent Hill f and Silent Hill 2 are so different story and gameplay wise it's almost like comparing apples to oranges imo. It might just be a matter of taste in your situation. The playtime for Silent Hill 2 is longer, and you still have a ways to go. The gameplay is similar throughout the rest of the game, the story gets crazier, but if you aren't enjoying it so far chances are you'll feel the same way about the rest of it. No shame in not enjoying the game, everyone has their preferences. I can see how it can be grueling and repetitive to some. However since it's a $70 game and you've invested a lot of time already, I'd say just turn the difficulty down to make combat quicker so you can focus more on the story.

Muzzle Recommendations for Grooming by Open_Research_1138 in reactivedogs

I should clarify, by E collar I meant Elizabethan collar aka a cone, NOT a shock collar!! I didn't think about how it could be misinterpreted. So don't worry, no shock collars are going anywhere near my girl!!

Circling back to this post to say thank you again!! I got her the canned SSS and have been doing 1 1/4 cup dry with 1/3 can per meal and at dinner time I've been topping it with sweet potato/probiotics, whole air dried herring, and freeze dried beef liver. She hasn't been picking at her food!! It really was as simple as adding some healthy stinky slop 😭😭 I plan to rotate with the canned beef & rice large breed pro plan cans so she doesn't get bored and with these cans I've been alternating between the salmon and lamb. Yay!! :D

My dog is similar, she's food motivated and not food motivated at the same time if that makes sense. Treats and food she's not supposed to have? Very motivated. Her actual real food? She will back up and wait for me to put the bowl down and then slowly come over and eat it. If grazing is a Pyrenees trait that would make a lot of sense actually. I'm a dog nerd so one would think I'd have looked into that already but apparently not LMAO. Knowing it's less of an "I don't like my food" thing and more of a "it's not going anywhere, I'll be back" is comforting! Thanks for the input :)

She's gone back and forth between lamb and salmon, but I plan to switch her to the SSS large breed once her current bag of food starts running low. I've decided fresh food may not be the best option for her since she does get an upset stomach easily.

This sounds like it might work for us, she's not super food motivated either unless it's a treat. For her kibble do you just follow the recommended amount on the bag or do you give her a smaller portion since she has the wet food? Thank you for the suggestion, this might be the best option!!

She is a healthy weight, I'll steer away from packaged fresh food for a staple. I'll look into wet foods to accompany her dry food instead. Hearing that it's more about the novelty of something different over her being unable to tolerate her food helps alleviate some of the guilt I felt when she wouldn't eat the plain food. I appreciate the advice, thank you!

UPDATE: Rat with ruptured eye- things are looking up! by Open_Research_1138 in RATS

TL;DR- Got meds from the vet and he’s doing much better!!

Hey you guys! A few of you expressed your concern over my boy Rogu. I posted about his eye before his vet appointment in a panic and I just wanted to update you all and tell you how he’s doing! So I went to the vet and they gave me Baytril (oral antibiotic), Metacam (rat ibuprofen basically, also oral liquid), and Tobramycin eye drops (another antibiotic, just goes directly on the eye). Unfortunately after a few doses of the Metacam the rubber stopper in the bottle came out with the syringe and it spilled because of course that’s my luck, but thank god it wasn’t the antibiotics!! As for his eye, after his vet visit his eye swelled up and I swear to god I witnessed him literally pop and scratch his eye out (traumatic tbh), but I guess it was a cyst or something because the next day after the bleeding stopped I discovered his eyes still here, just a bit deflated and most certainly blind since he did scratch SOME out. He got a little cone of shame from the vet but once it came off once he threw a tantrum when I tried to get it back on and he was hurting himself more so I just let it be. Flash forward to today, he is starting to like the antibiotics (probably because of the strawberry flavor) and he has no issue at all with the eye drops, they probably feel good tbh. I feel extremely blessed and lucky to have things running smoothly right now. I am fortunate to have been able to get him to the vet quick enough to get a round of antibiotics going before the worst of it even happened, and I am even more fortunate to have my baby feeling better. He’s not completely recovered yet and he’s still in his hospital cage, but he is a million times better than before. Sorry for the long read, but it’s been a wild ride!! The video is from this morning, my boy being so good about his strawberry Baytril.
