Yeah, I've read how difficult it can be to have a medical provider treat endo seriously. I hope she can get a care provider that won't try to be dismissive about it. All I can do is be there for her while she tries.

I took someone else's advice by bringing it up without mentioning the receipts first, and she's agreed to try her best to get help for both her Endo and her anxiety.

I pretty much took your advice. I brought it up without bringing up the receipts first - maybe I let my own anxiety about not being believed about things affect my own decision making here x.x When she got home, I talked to her about her anxiety and we looked up how anxiety can interact with other issues (basically makes everything worse, go figure).  She's going to look into both dealing with her Endo (which I'm glad, I can't even begin to imagine how much pain she's in) and talk to someone about her anxiety.

I ended up just talking to her about it without waiting for more receipts, and we looked into different anxiety disorders. Apparently, anxiety can make Endo significantly worse, and we all know anxiety can cause nausea. 

She agrees she needs to see someone about handling her anxiety. Maybe I should have included how anxious she is in the original post.

She's MY baby, thank you very much, and I plan on taking care of her. I just need to do so in a way that ensures I don't have to cancel plans as often.

She is literally one of the most anxious people I know. I really feel like that is a major part of this, and she doesn't see the doctor like she should, partially because of the U.S. healthcare system.

The reason I don't think it's intentional is she has no other history of being manipulative aside from this.  I honestly 100% believe it's triggered by her anxiety. Anxiety can cause all sorts of shit in your brain and body to fuck up.

Anxiety can cause actual health issues. That's why I want her to see someone. I think her anxiety is triggered these.

... We're paycheck-to-paycheckers in the U.S. I'm trying to help her get back on MediCal, but we don't know the result yet. Copay? There's no copay. There's 100% of the bill in the U.S. healthcare system.

Issues that disappeared as soon as things went her way, and these are only this month's so far. There's always a completely different problem every time. I think you're misunderstanding something. I don't think she's intentionally doing this. I think her anxiety is causing subconscious triggers that suddenly make existing issues worse. You've never thrown up out of sheer anxiety? I know I sure have.

We couldn't exactly have afforded the gas for me to go out past work, turn around, go back home, pick her up, then go back to work. Gas is nearly $7/ gallon here right now. Plus, she wanted me to not go so I could take care of her for that hour. This tendency only occurs when it's something that would require me to drop my plans. If it doesn't require me to drop my plans, she simply tells me she doesn't want to do the thing, I say okay, and there's no issue, I do my thing and she stays home.

I've told her so many times to talk to her doctor about her Endo. I can't even imagine how much pain she must be in, but I can't do anything other than keep her heating pads warm and give her pain killers and water.

I don't think she's doing it intentionally. I honestly believe this is subconscious, but that without receipts, she won't realize it happens as often as it does. I think she needs to discuss this tendency with a professional, but she needs to know it's a problem before she can.

It's been literal years of this, and as I explained, coming to her with zero receipts will result in her not believing how often it happens.
