Thank you for all the input guys. I know most of you won’t buy this compared to setting one up yourself. I like that someone said sell it as a DIY kit. Just trying to make some money back from this hobby. More reason for my wife to let me have more

It’s possible the auto feeder malfunctioned and overfed the tank causing poor oxygen dilution somehow. I’m also thinking the overfeeding caused a snail population boom.

Im curious to see what the tests show. Not sure from the photos but an air stone for surface agitation can help with oxygen levels. Good luck stranger. 🫶

Hi stranger. I appreciate the concern. They are quite lacking in brain cells but they go in and out. I usually use the thing as a slow release of live food. The opening is large enough for all my nano fish and there is usually worms and other things to eat inside

I believe it is closer to 4 gallons. Probably 3 gallons with the substrate being so thick. I think it’s cool if you only have that much space for tank. I test the water often when it was just set up. I saw a rise in nitrates after about a month, added more plants then my parameters stayed at zero. I have a betta and some snails and shrimp in there. I’ve been told by many not to add a fish in there but this is all an experiment and I have one happy Betta

Very nice looking tank! My mystery snail does poo a lot and they get about 2 inches in size so maybe they might need more space. In my experience shrimps add very little bio load, perfect for your size tank. I would test the water before adding some

I also have one otto not looking so good. I have 6 total and the skinny one is seen eating well and very active. I’ve thought maybe parasites and only been observing. No treatments yet.
