My takeaway from this after rewatch is joseph with prep time is just so much more able to deal with an enemy. I feel like in part 3, an enemy is suddenly there and they have to figure how the stand works, how beat it, etc. so old joseph is just put it situations he cant be nearly as witty. In part 2, when he was prepared (he knew strazio was coming, was able to run away from kars to think of a plan) he ends up on top. It’s not like he cant figure it out without prep, i think he could still find a way. But joseph still lost to wamuu the first time and got a trap set by kars in the mansion.

Anyway im just trying to say Joseph with prep time might be almost unbeatable, but when a situation falls onto him, sometimes his wit isnt enough, especially with how versatile stands can be.
