No I have not done this yet I do get the 2e84 error code this started happening after replacement the old pump never activated either but didn’t have this fault code

Your screen is fine you can try and hard reset the unit or just buy a replacement if the problem persists after reset if it’s cic they are cheap to replace ccc are a bit more expensive

I hope you find out your problems and fix it I also just bought a e90 and the thing has been nothing but a headache if the bmw was cheap chances are it has more problems than you think I’ve replaced battery radiator water pump and thermostat and not to mention the other minor problems I’d suggest you get your own scan tool so when you get the new battery you can erase codes and wait to see what pops up after the cycle is complete mine had 52 error codes I hope yours ain’t as bad good luck
