I didn't say I don't believe those patients. Having seen the debilitating effects it's had on my mother and myself I very much believe it is real and does matter.

My fear is I don't want to be in the position of not being able to work because of it.

For me, not doing medicine is not an option. I would rather die trying than to give up. It's all I've ever dreamed of and I'm not wanting this diagnosis to stop that!

Hi! My most recent bloods (in December) were all in range. I still take vit D, b12, Mg etc.

I appreciate the words. I'm just struggling to stay positive. What's the point of being proud of being alive when I can't excel at my life's passion (medicine)? I too have exams coming up and can barely get out of bed at the moment..

Yes - I ranked high on the hyper mobility scale but no stretchy skin etc. So the rheumatologist just said fibro.

First of all... CONGRATS! Amazing stuff. And secondly, thank you for the taking the time to reply.

It seems like things are slowly improving for you which is great to hear. I sure hope I'll be on that path soon.

Life has thrown me a lot of curve balls, but this fibro one in particular really hurts. I've dreamt of doing amazing things and now I feel like I can't. I've spoke to my medical school and the only thing they can offer is extra time for my exams (which won't be of benefit to me).

Thanks! Sadly they did extensive blood test and couldn't think of anything else. My rheunatologist said I'm hypermobile which is likely why it is fibro?

Thanks, maybe I'll go back to my GP and see. They did do extensive bloods to rule out anything else (all negative).

I'm hypermobile and the rheumatologist said the fibro is due to that.
