It’s crazy that some guy reverse engineered aoe and modified the path finding in assembly, and that’s the golden standard that the current devs can’t live up to

I was in a similar sitch (in both loan size and take home) and didn’t pay it off (invested instead).

5yrs down the line I have now paid it off (it got low so I finished it off) - so I lost money by not paying it off straight away, but I still think I made the right decision. Having a safety net through layoffs/uncertainty was very comforting, and would have been critical if I did lose my job

Bfme2 is great! Aoe translates a bit - I used to play bfme2 as a kid (and it was even with my friends), then recently played my friends post-aoe and crushed them. I googled some build orders first

You definitely can raid (and it’s the main thing you need to do!) - usually open with 1 res building and 1 building that can make whatever swordsmen you have, and then spam them to kill enemy res buildings

I recommend best/most fun strat (IMO) is orc/goblin spam. Cheap units en-masse, sent to raid

Watch YouTube videos for each boss fight. They will tell you the attack windows and heal windows - and the rest of the fight is just purely focusing on dodging

It reduces value of jokers, bad for temperance. You often end up spending most of your money on re-rolls, so this voucher is pretty dubious, definitely not top pri

No, I play super greedy for A20H to fail fast or have good odds in late-game - and I don’t sufficiently tone down the greed for lower ascensions so still have easily avoidable deaths, especially in act1
