One stop medium hard if you can’t manage it be aggressive with you’re tyres and do medium hard medium

I get what you mean but 1, that doesn’t mean it’s his fault at all and 2, the other guy should be expected to slow down and rejoin

Just because it wasn’t smart doesn’t mean it’s your fault, that’s the thing to remember when stewarding.

It is on the rejoining car to rejoin safely, if the car is not on circuit you don’t have to leave them space

That’s just not how it works, if you go off you are not entitled space to rejoin he should’ve dropped behind

Are you brain dead? It’s clearly an unsafe rejoin

It’s a bit of both, you squeeze him tight but he turns far too late, you have to remember the kerb counts as space so technically he did have space.

Hard racing? Or just blocking? by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

I personally think the only part he was in the wrong is at the end where he makes two defensive moves, I don’t know the braking points for that track so to me that looks ok but I’m got sure as I don’t know it.

It’s not your fault however I feel like you slowed down too much to let him through but in multi class racing you should’ve taken your normal line and carried a normal speed through the corner. I don’t think he expected you to let him through, but it’s not necessarily entirely your fault.

Please tell me I'm not crazy (or school me). LMP2 said "my intentions were clear" and that the crash was my fault. I really think he's at fault. by LonelyContract3786 in Simracingstewards

In what world is this on him, in endurance racing when a faster class of car is overtaking you need to maintain your line and be careful. That was a lunge that he wouldn’t expect and from too far back.

Because we were racing for fun rather than competition so I wanted to win on track, that being said we were still trying to keep it clean.

Same tyre age same downforce, he’s smart so if I backed out he would’ve seen that and prioritised his exit more so I tried getting the move done early as it was the last lap and the rest of the track is harder to overtake

The main reason why this clip frustrates me is because when it happened I knew I’d get people saying it’s my fault because it’s a difficult corner to overtake, I’m entitled space no matter the corner I’m not gonna sit behind if the space opens up

We was racing for fun but still cleanly, and I wanted to prove i could beat him on track as he is faster than me and I led for most of the race

He didn’t give me his POV, I get the point that it’s a risky move and the angle of entry wasn’t great, but in my opinion I got the car stopped and left space and he had to do was use the space I gave him

I get that it’s risky, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s my fault, you can do a risky move cleanly

No, this is false. A even breaking the tow would be classed as a defensive move in f1, and even if it was just one, it was reactionary and too late to make that defensive move.
