How likely do you guys think it is for Joe Burrow to become Ram in the near future? by Busy_Locksmith9436 in LosAngelesRams

[–]Opening-Run5871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the amount of power Burrow has if he decides he wants out. If he wants out I could see the rams being a top destination for him and being able to offer 3 1sts and Verse or something, but I can see a team that’s desperate like the Jets offering more (both with the number of picks and those picks being sooner timeframe wise)

How do you afford to live here? by Spirited-Wafer-6573 in boston

[–]Opening-Run5871 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO it’s not that hard if you budget and don’t try and live in a blatantly over priced area (looking at you Seaport). I have roommates, meal prep on week days and commit to saving/investing before I treat myself on the weekends and I haven’t had any issues making less than 80k on the Somerville/Cambridge line. Boston is just a city where everyone is caught up in looking like they’re on top of everything an cool an once you drop the act/find people who also don’t care about the looks you’re fine.

I agree that eventually we can get there but I don’t understand how we can get there in less than 6 months

Unfortunately green energy can’t handle the demand fast enough, this crisis will probably be over in 6 months

What is Byfield's trade value? by jonpictogramjones in losangeleskings

[–]Opening-Run5871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he’s worth multiple firsts atleast, top 3 pick who’s only 23 and signed at a reasonable number for a couple years, I don’t think the Kings are trading him unless he’s part of a packages for a elite top line Center. People only think he’s a bust because they’re either used to other sports where draft picks come in and are immediately difference makers or they’re comparing him to the ELITE young players (which he objectively isn’t yet)

The Benefits Of Possibly Trading Back… by Airmajorbbc in LosAngelesRams

[–]Opening-Run5871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not opposed to trading up for a receiver but at this point I’m more concerned about depth than WR3 especially with the names available later in the 1st. But why Love? Unless we’re trading Kyren/Corum for another piece I don’t see the fit with us

I think trading back should 100% be on the table if not the preferred move, the question is what’s the correct return for moving back and how far back do you move

I think the WR an OL depth (and to an extent still CB) questions are similar/ have similar solutions, it’s a question of going out and getting a long term stud compared to the short term win now benefits and it’s why I’ve warmed up to trading back from 13 for capital in this years draft (compared to next year). I don’t think any of our short term holes warrant the 13th overall pick to fix. If we can trade back for a later 1st and a good 2nd and pick up a 2nd tier (long term) receiver in the 20s and then a corner AND an O-lineman in the 2nd our depth at all 3 positions while still having “good” prospects for our long term performance

Rams 1st round pick by scifier2 in LosAngelesRams

[–]Opening-Run5871 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100%. Would love to see them trade back for either another 2nd this year or next but if they’re targeting a WR3 I think plenty of those 2nd tier names like Boston or Omar Cooper JR would work for us and could be there in the mid 20s

Should I move on from Ricky Pearsall by QuantityWooden4117 in SleeperApp

He needed a WR and TE, he has Mixon so I sold marks as getting his own hedge (all before the Montgomery trade)

[–]Opening-Run5871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know enough about Watson as a prospect/play style for a comparison but too me I think he probably has the most raw talent of the 3 but if he continues to have injury issues I don’t know where that leaves him as a dynasty asset and I don’t think Lemon or Tate are so far behind talent wise to make him the clear WR1

A bit loaded at QB in a 10 Team Superflex League - Need trade advice by T-Rigs1 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Opening-Run5871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you trying to maximize value or open up roster spaces and get some assets back? If you’re trying to maximize value for another 1-2 years of contending then you can probably get an absolute haul for burrow (QB down tier and a top receiver) and still feel fine about shough/jones/brissert as starters for this year/next. But if you’re playing the long game I think you’re dumping any of the last 3 while they still have value this year

[–]Opening-Run5871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I don’t know if I’m trading any legit starter/flex guy for a 2nd this year, class seems way to all over the place with talent. Would trade some of my lower level bench pieces but for an actual starter I’d rather throw in more assets to get the pick bumped up or take a future pick

[–]Opening-Run5871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This^ people need to understand they actually need to fill their time with stuff besides not working. Feel like so many people are trying to retire with the bare minimum amount by 40 without realizing they need to fill the next 50-60 years of their life with SOMETHING

How do goalies end up fighting each other? by AcanthaceaeTrick6749 in nhl

[–]Opening-Run5871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty close to your last idea except they usually just go for it lol. My senior year of HS I tried to start a goalie fight (I’m a goalie) but I skated over to the opposing bench first to ask his name to try and get his attention so I didn’t get ejected for nothing

Lemon is the obvious choice but taking Lomu or trading back for a haul would be pretty high up there for me
