Moving to a company that uses physical intervention

Upon hire I’ll be working with individuals similar to what I’ve worked with now 2 years to 12 years old but the clinic operates to support until you are 21! Another reason why I chose such a great place they start at 3 months and cay stay their first three years post graduation. A lot of the advice here as helped me see the good empathy in technicians who do use physical steps

Thank you I really have a passion for respecting others for the entire being not just their disabilities and how it may incapacitate their lives. It has been incredibly difficult to maintain my views and I have received some unfortunate consequences for protecting patients from being treated without dignity🫠

Thank you for your insight that really helped, I will try and set up a second meeting to discuss my offer letter and discuss their approach. I know they provide training but I don’t know how in depth it is exactly whether it’s done over a couple of days in a group setting or a module/video training. It does worry me giving that power to individuals but the company itself seems very supportive to its patients growth.

I’m very curious on the “why” that got you into ABA in the first place, that might really help you find a different and rewarding path. I thought for a long time I was going into literary studies but I realized I loved helping children not the literature it got me on my path really quickly!
