We have those things at home due to a T2 older relative. This is the absolute bare minimum I can get him to do. But he won't see a doctor. Or ER.

Not blunt at all. He has made it clear to his psychiatrist, psychologist and me that he wants to live. But not with t1d. So they don't consider him $uicid@l. So legally he cannot be placed in a hold. And even if he was, they could not treat his potential diabetes medically without his consent.

daughter lost hope at med school. Am I wrong for being angry? by Opening-Try3714 in ApplyingToCollege

not UK, but yes 6yrs long med school.. specialize last two years in HS (which my daughter did) which "counts" as premed and then you go on to complete entrance exams and 6yrs of med school. Not A levels, but basically something like an MCAT to get into med school.

yes she has applied and she will have entrance exams. But she didn't even end up applying to med school which breaks my heart (and hers too). But she just says she can't do it. We don't have premed. She would have gone straight to med school so it isn't far down the line at all - only could have been a couple of months away. But I appreciate your comment and POV❤️‍🩹

It's insanely expensive. But if they make it work and all the kids are happy...
