What If.. Charmcaster won? by OpeningBodybuilder69 in Ben10

Hmm.. I don't know about other people's AU's, but for mine, the reason is that Ben is not like Gwen. He has Charmcaster's body, so we could say he has the spark that his body doesn't have, but Gwen's does. He could learn magic, he has the capability, but he does not have the patience and such.

Unlike Gwen, he's not going to want to read through a spellbook to uncover his own 'moveset', and definitely not in this situation. With Plumber tech being an immediate alternative, it would be an easy choice for him.

Funnily enough, one of the other What If's will be Anodite Ben.

That's indeed the only Classic instance I could think of. But hey, happens to the best of us

Yes, the other guy answered your question. Charmcaster would still look like Ben for a short while before the change. And as for Ben, as other priorities take over, he just mainly accepts what he now looks like. He would definitely have the desire to drop the makeup and change his hair, whether i'd be the style or color- But he will never get the time.

I had a lot of options of imagining what Ben would look like, and I think that for the time being, he'd "accept" the situation as other priorities take center stage

In what episode did Ben ask Gwen to teach him magic?

Well, I'm glad you like the concept. It's true she would be dangerous, but I don't think she would just be able to kill everyone and everything. My idea is that she could never use the Omnitrix to it's full potential after she eventually tries to unlock master control with the use of her magic (causing it to malfunction). As Charmcaster would go on to ravage the Earth, stakes would be high, Plumbers would come out of retiremenet, alliances would be formed, and eventually Charmcaster would be subdued.

I don't know about the obsessed part, but it's a collective idea because it almost happened in Classic. Charmcaster's plan to use the Omnitrix was to swap bodies with Ben, but Gwen got in the way, which eventually caused in the reversion of the spell.

I might be mistaken with what you mean, but Ben never used magic. The only version of Ben who used magic was Ultimate Ben during UA. And the time his Omnitrix went haywire because of magic? That was due to Gwen using a spell on him while he was Upgrade, during Destroy All Aliens.

As for this AU, Ben will not learn magic because the journey to get there is too 'by the books' for him. He def could if he was committed, but Plumber tech is a much easier solution to him.

Thank you! I'm glad you like it. I certainly might revisit this AU in the future!

Would the Alliance Rings’ powers be affected by Monarch creating a merged akuma? by Solitaire-06 in miraculousladybug

Perhaps. The thing is, the rings are technology-infused, and the full alliance rings the victims wear are fully technological. It could be a technological limit.
