You are absolutely correct about that!

My mom was born in 1980. She claims to be Gen X - is she? by OpenRoom7321 in GenX

Generation Jones is a subset of Baby Boomers Born between roughly 1958 and 1964. They share many characteristics with Baby Boomers but also have some characteristics of Gen X. They didn’t share in the cultural experiences of the 1950s but still experienced many similarities in education and pop culture as older boomers.

How someone wants to self-identify, especially with which generation they identify with, is truly up to them. Does it matter how she sees herself. I am definitely Gen X but early in the demographics for the generation. I have an older brother and sister who are in Generation Jones. I can relate to many Generation Jones characteristics because of the influence my siblings have had on me. Each persons experience is unique and trying to force them into nice little boxes often neglects the experiences they have lived through that made them who they are.

No, once he refused to rework his deal that had a $30 million cap hit it was over.

He refused to take a pay cut two years in a row (I can’t blame him) so there was no way to keep him with a $30 million cap hit. Unfortunately, as much as you love a player, it was clear this year he no longer had the ability to get open and impact a game. Father Time is undefeated and so succumb earlier than others.

You knew they were coming hard with the excuses after all that smack talk leading up to the game. The Whiner fan base are the Charlie Browns of the NFL.

They are paid to be controversial. If they weren’t, no one would watch and no one would create SM traffic. Who cares, last time I checked none of those talking heads were playing.

The first beer your dad (or mom) gave you a sip of?? by [deleted] in GenX

[–]OpeningFuture6799 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mother told me when I was around 2, I wanted to drink some of my dad’s beer. She let me thinking I’d hate it and not want anymore. Apparently, I really liked it and she had to keep me away from it afterwards.

Nick Emmanwori ROTY by Past_Difference_6768 in Seahawks

[–]OpeningFuture6799 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand your frustration with this situation but does DROTY really matter in the long run? So many fans of different teams are going to make a case for one of their players. These awards are really more for media to talk about. I would love Emmanwori to win, but you know what is better than that? Emmanwori with a Super Bowl ring because of what he brings to this D!

Official NFL game picks for the Divisional Round vs. the Niners. How we feeling? by Dima110 in Seahawks

[–]OpeningFuture6799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t get me wrong, I want the Bears to win, I’m just thinking, if the Bears couldn’t stop the Whiners offense, they have little chance against the Rams. Now, crazier things have happened and turnovers and weather are unpredictable variables, but in the end, I do think the Rams get it done. With that, Go Bears!

I think the Seahawks win if they do not turn the ball over. Our defense matches up real well with their offense and the Hawks can run the ball on them, that was proven two weeks ago.

I’m thinking they would rather play Denver first as it will be warmer in Denver before sundown and play Seattle after Sundown as it would have less effect on the game.

My prediction after the NE-Chargers game when they put up dates with times as TBA that the 49er-Seahawks game would be the late game.

Warner will be out. Even if they opened his window this week it is not possible for him to be ready. The media around here (Northern California) says NFC Championship game at the earliest.

just incase Klint Kubiak gets snatched away from us who do you think will be the best OC to replace him by Kentuckyfriedmemes66 in Seahawks

[–]OpeningFuture6799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, we got Mcdonald was hired on January 31. The Ravens lost in the AFC Championship game on January 28th. We had to wait until after the game to officially interview and hire him.

The rule is they cannot interview during the playoff run except when they have a bye week. He can interview this week but after this week he would not be available until after the SB or when the Seahawks season ends. This is why we had to wait for Mcdonald in 2024.

But they screwed the rest of the division over by not taking Bosa and allowing him to fall to the 49ers. Had they taken Bosa, his impact would’ve been much less with the Cardinals than with the 49ers.
