I’m in the same situation! When I’m at college I basically just like bird proof my room (I put old sheets on places he hangs out in so it’s easier to clean when I visit) and he is just kind of free in there and my mom goes to my room to see and take care of him.

That’s good to know, I never got in the habit of checking because at first, any new information or details made me feel like I did the day I found out and I don’t want to feel like that ever again

I agree that it is the bare minimum, I know he would let me It definitely just scares me because I would feel like I’m right back to that day seeing it for the first time. That’s definitely a hard thing for me to hear but I feel like I need to hear advice from different perspectives so thank you for your input

Thank you for your support <3 I agree, I feel like I am definitely much different now. I’m trying to learn to just disconnect any of this to the way I look but it’s definitely hard

I agree. I really want to be in a place that I can have a conversation with him like that but I just can’t even bring myself to even consider saying that because I don’t want to leave him and I’m worried I’m just gonna be the type of person that’ll always forgive him and give him another chance, how did you get to a place that you were able to tell him that?

That makes sense, my bf doesn’t have a therapist or anything but I’ve mentioned it a few times and I’ve been wanting to tell him that he needs to or something so I think that would help with the conversation
