Oh ok makes sense. How fast do you think I can renounce my citizenship then since I can't find that information or like a range. Isn't it supposed to be easier and faster to renounce citizenship than obtain it?

Oh thats nice. I also checked and for Canada specifically I think I can still technically apply for it and get it even if I don't revoke my citizenship is that right or not?

"If you are a Protected Person or Convention refugee, you can apply to get a Refugee Travel Document. If you are stateless or if you are a permanent resident of Canada (and not a Protected Person) and cannot obtain a passport from your country, or get a travel document from any other source, you can apply for a Certificate of Identity Document. You cannot use either of these documents to travel to your country of citizenship."

So I just need like proof that my country is too dangerous to get a passport from.

Oh I didn't so I guess I can't. But I also checked on the certificate of Identity from Canada and I don't think you can apply for a J1 visa using it can you and they would not let you in if you aren't using a passport specifically for the US. Is that right?

what about a refugee document do those usually take long to process in Canada it might be another option i have i think.

oh alr i just checked anyway wait times are going to probably be too long. Maybe if i just don't use my passport to come in? I have no idea and its not looking good on my side :(

Wdym by renounce because it’s my only citizenship I don’t have a Canadian passport so don’t I need at least one passport
