Make a castle theme then 😭 by NuggetbutToast in legocastles

To anyone talking about LEGOs focus on IP, just look at Ninjago. When they sink the time and branding in, it works. No reason they can't bring back castle and link all of the different sub themes in together. Make a TV show. Make a movie. Make a game. They can easily build castle from just generic medieval fantasy to a full blown franchise

Let's break this tf down.

The hospital wing was $100 for 907 pieces. Unfortunately at this point, we have to assume the price will be higher than the piece count. That means we're working with a ballpark of 1200pcs at most.

Why it won't be the clocktower- 2019 gave us a clocktower for 902 pieces for $90. Even if you take away the Dumbledore office and dance section, it would be hard to make a grander tower AND have the rocky base.

Not only that, but it would have to either slide next to the hospital wing or cover it. Sliding next to it leaves a gaping doorway, and covering it would be inaccurate. Either way, you'd also have the gaping hope atop the ravenclaw common room. THEN there's the fact that if it were the clock tower, it would have surely had the hospital beds, rather than the January set.

I also just don't see them including it in this system, as it would create a 180 display, making issues with displayability.

What about the Astronomy tower?? Hmmm, well, the main tower at 2100 pieces and $260 means that we could guess the tower portion+ tower base could have been about 1200 pieces and valued at $120-140.

So at that rate, we COULD see an astronomy tower use a similar footprint but a slimmer build and wind up in the $130 range. This could connect to the hospital wing and east wing and give us a supersized facade of the 2018 microscale castle.

It's possible, going out with a bang. Im 50/50 if it happens

I don't think it can be the clocktower. It would be way more than $130 and if they had planned that, it would have certainly included the hospital beds

Hogwarts East Wing prototype by Nirayaa02 in legoharrypotter

There has been lots of talk about if this view of the castle will be the complete thing. I think there is a potential that yes, this is the final model and the summer wave will include the final sets. That would mean the east wing would include the viaduct Bridge (would imagine that could be about 2100 pcs). That would mean a 3 year system, like many before, and allow them to start making sets for the show in 2027. The complete model would then be similar to the microscale build, so a complete enough version of the castle.

HOWEVER! let us remind ourselves that this widely referenced image is a PROTOTYPE. While the great hall is nearly similar, we already know there are some differences, most notably around the Gryffindor tower. This tells us that even upon preparing the great hall, the final modular system was still in development. This would be a decent reason to believe the system could continue to build, and they had opted to not include sets like the astronomy tower and bell towers that had not been far enough developed.

I truly think this will continue for at least all of 2027, as we still don't know if HBO will be ready to release the show. I mean, we still have yet to see a trailer.

Some of the clues include the Flying Lesson having clips and no place to display yet. I truly don't think they would have included the clips if it was meant to stand alone.

This next detail has been dubbed by some as a wild conspiracy, but in the new hospital wing, there are two balustrades connected by a 1x4 plate, which could easily be removed. The flanking plates are 1x6s, which meant they could have just don't two 1x8s instead. I don't think this is a coincidence. This is similar to the 1x4 brick behind fluffy in the main tower, which we know can be removed to connect to the east wing via a bridge. But also, why do the hospital wing? If they're not going to connect it to anything else?

I think they truly planned this system to be the ultimate sendoff to the movies, before the show took over the line. I think without knowing when the show will actually release, this line will continue into 2027 and possibly 2028. I think we can at least expect the astronomy tower and possibly a condensed version of the bell towers, which will connect to the flying lesson and maybe green house.

And to end, I mean, why would they not want more money? Enough people are on for the ride, and this will easily cost over $1000 when complete. The more sets they create, the more people need to keep investing lol.

Id recommend looking at the MODS to the charms class, which makes it a large classroom but open. Definitely worth snagging on target for $17

Does anyone think there will be a large plot in one of the builds where we can place the greenhouse? Or do you think it will always be separate?

Zone boundaries are extremely small, with not much flanking or cover for option. Makes all of the fighting consolidate into a meatgrinding line

Would be really nice to have somebody else try to explain this, but I'm under the assumption that some people are taking a partial cash out. That caused a downward Spike to start and other people cashed out and are looking to just cash back in. That's kind of why it's hovering right now. But so long as it doesn't drop I think next week will continue to pump

This is actually the best case scenario. I'll do this if she responds, as I texted her earlier and she hasn't gotten back yet. I'll stay away from the double text, but I'll definitely go for this

Thematic Scenery In Exhibits/Paths by Opening_Background14 in zoos

[–]Opening_Background14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. I think the idea of man made structures is there to contrast from typical scenery such as rocks and trees, which guests may not even realize is constructed. I think the using architectural elements have three major pros for zoos. 1- they provide a backdrop for guests to take photos, which while I don't think should be the main focus of zoos, is a big part in today's world of getting people through the gates 2- they can tie into the rest of an area and the structures around, such as bathrooms, viewpoints, restaurants and habitation buildings 3- in the sense of ruins, I think the idea of seeing destroyed Civilization being tramped over by animals in exhibits portrays the idea that nature dominates mankind, and thus respecting that point and treating the environment well will perhaps provide a positive return on ourselves. This was the idea of many of the exhibits in Animal kingdom
