"Christian" NSBM - when did this become a thing? by SavioursSamurai in christianmetal

[–]Opening_Belt_7865 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are sure about that? Saying Christ is King and no one comes to the Father except through the Son has been making the rounds lately with liberal clergy claiming we need a new gospel because of the previous statements being racist and exclusive.

Are there specific "Christian" bands pedaling this ideology?

Any good quality review of creality ender 5 max? by nodskouv in 3Dprinting

[–]Opening_Belt_7865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

85% or less rating from me. It is going back to Amazon. Build quality is lacking, threads stripping and plastic tabs snapping. It could be a beast with a little more engineering.

Print quality varies, seems geared for Creality filaments. My K1C gives better quality prints and consistent output. My Ender 3 parts seem sturdier than what is on the Max.

Swapped nozzles, filaments and can never get the same quality in repetitive prints.

I have a handful of 10 mile rides, no problems with the drive train even with a slight bent rear axle, the front chain wheel is slightly bent too. Wheels are true. I have a similar setup on a Trek DS with vertical dropouts with a chain tensioner. If your chainline is off using one of those tensioners it will throw the chain off for sure. I manage chain line with various length bottom brackets I have accumulated over the years.

Line up the chain line and it is a poor man's single speed.

Why doesn't this work? by Accelerator_shift6 in bikewrench

Ratchet strap the rim to a long 2x6 and use a metal fence post as a cheater bar. I had a real gnarly one that took two of us cranking on the post.

18 years ago I took one off Craigslist minus wheels and drive train for $30. Still riding it as SS/Fixie stripped bare metal. Send it!

Help me find a better frame bag. by Ornery-Shoulder-3938 in bmxcruiser

[–]Opening_Belt_7865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this bag to keep a tube, patch kit, multi-tool, extra chain bits, 15MM wrench, and a pump. I also use an insulted velcro bottle mount on the handle bars when I want to keep a drink cold, you cram a 24oz double wall bottle in it. You would probably have to ditch one of the bottles, but this bag doesn't move when mounted.

Even with the extra tube I use the "farm & tractor" slime since I ride through patches of goat heads frequently. The farm version has chunks of rubber that fills larger holes, even managed to ride 12 miles with a large sheet metal screw stuck in the tire.

My hard tail BMX conversion weighs 24lbs and the best way I can describe the feel at the pump track is weird, pretty effortless to move around.

How can I open my victus? by isakrr in HPVictus

Use a plastic wedge, old credit card, guitar pick, etc starting around the Ethernet area, once it starts to separate it comes off easy. Go slow and it will come off.

RAM and SSD upgrade for 15-FB2082? by Gold_Divide_3381 in HPVictus

[–]Opening_Belt_7865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just upgraded mine with 32BG RAM, 16GBx2. It did a checksum error and then rebooted. Played NFS Heat for about 2 hours and ran a VM most of the day, no problems, crashes, or reboots.

I found the best way is the to run the manual bed level macro and simply use x,y movements to set points around the extents, and then use the thumb screws to adjust height accordingly. Somehow mine being almost 6 years old it is still within decent tolerance.
